A, B ,C test A,B then Test B,C , Then C,A

For a three wire stator with three yellow wires, it does not matter the order of the wires connected. Connect them any way and it’ll work just the same.

Twin cam engines. 1999 was the first year I believe. If there are three wires it's a 3 phase. Aftermarket has had these out much longer. The three phase produces much more charging voltage at low RPM.

Shane Conley I will check on the new video also. In your video, when you tested the three wires, you got a reading of 0.004 I believe. When I tested mine, I got 0.002, should that be a concern on my end?

Shane Conley no worries buddy. I figured it out. With your help and this video, I determined it had to be voltage regulator and replaced it. I'm good now.

Hey there. Social media team here. Shane is overseas training techs and about a 24-48 response time. We reached out to him quick and he said "You're looking at a 14 year old video and we made an all inclusive video a few years later covering: AC output, ground verification, REG/REC testing, DC output and a loaded stator test on and off the bench. That may make you happier as we used a SNAP ON 504 meter (ESI). That being said, the $4 meter as you put it (free at Harbor Freight) will absolutely measure AC voltage output and resistance exactly the same as any other meter as long as you do the tips we share in our meter training videos too. Also worthy mentioning...AC output is not enough of a test as it can read ok yet when loaded can short to ground like we show in the other video". Jenny here...I tried to find the video but no luck with him having over 800. As a member (best $2 you'll spend) you can get him to reply directly and find videos for you. Links below.
