He said: No. Had you not asked me in the name of Allah, I would not have given you this information. We find stoning to death (as punishment prescribed in the Torah). But this (crime) became quite common amongst our aristocratic class. So when we caught hold of any rich person (indulging in this offence) we spared him, but when we caught hold of a helpless person we imposed the prescribed punishment upon him. We then said: Let us argree (on a punishment) which we can inflict both upon the rich and the poor. So We decided to blacken the face with coal and flog as a substitute punishment for stoning. Ibn Abbas and Mujahid said that this verse is general and applies to everyone. Ibn Mas'ud and Al Hassan said: "It is general to all those who don't rule by what Allah has revealed from amongst the Muslims, Jews and disbelievers." The verses from the Qur'an, which command the Jews and Christians to judge by the Torah and Gospel respectively actually means that they must judge by the Qur'an since this is the only way to really judge by the Torah and Gospel sent to Moses and Jesus peace be upon them both respectively. For those original revelations taught the coming of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Therefore, to judge by them means that you must accept the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him), which in turn means that you must then accept the Qur'an as the word of God and judge by it. The Quran is THE ONLY revelation sent for mankind. Injeel in the Quran is described as a revelation sent to Jesus which he spread to his followers. In Christianity you believe that Jesus is the “injeel/gospel” and that he didn’t receive revelation because he is god. The Torah we believe in is what was sent to Moses, the Quran corrects the “Torah” on multiple occasions, and the five books you have can’t be traced back to Moses. Torah and injeel are both guides for the children of Israel. The only revelation sent to mankind was the Quran and the only prophet sent for mankind was the prophet ﷺ. We say that the Jews made a new book which is what you have and claimed it’s from god which it isn’t. Spirit from Him means that He was {His Word which He directed to Mary} meaning a word that Allah spoke, and by it Jesus came into existence. He was not the word itself but was brought into being by it, an expression of honor and distinction. Similarly, {a spirit from Him} means one of the spirits created by Allah, endowed with virtuous attributes and complete morals. This is what as-Sa'adi said.

He would say: What turned ye out from the Paradise was the sin of your father Adam. I am not in a position to do that; better go to my son Ibrahim, the Friend of Allah. He (the Holy Prophet) said: He (Ibrahim) would say: I am not in a position to do that. Verily I had been the Friend (of Allah) from beyond, beyond; you better approach Moses (peace be upon him) with whom Allah conversed. They would come to Moses (peace be upon him), but he would say: I am not in a position to do that; you better go to Jesus, the Word of Allah and His Spirit. Jesus (peace be upon him) would say: I am not in a position to do that. So they would come to Muhammad (ﷺ). He would then be permitted (to open the door of Paradise). Etc etc... 😊💪🏼👌🏽👍🏽

Why is it important for him to be Catholic? He is a Christian. We let traditions get in the way of Christianity sometimes. Isn't Catholicism not also a split from the orthodox/coptic church also? I mean any branch can claim to be "right", but is this the question Christ will ask us on judgment day? Is this what will determine who gets admitted into heaven or not? Judge by the fruits. If his fruits are showing you that he is a Christian, then let that be the end of it. Praise God and leave it alone
