👋 Hi, Just want to say that I appreciate your videos. I used ACE for many years with my older children and now want to go back for my youngest. Not for everything, I feel confident enough to supplement and not have to do every single page. It definitely isn’t an end all perfect curriculum. Nothing is. I do trust it and feel like it gives a good solid structure to our homeschool. I do think it is a good idea to supplement writing. I may try to combine the social studies with Mystery of History. A friend of mine highly recommended that. I know nothing about it.
Hi! Are you not on Facebook any more? I tried looking for you the other day and couldn't find you. This is Hannah, by the way. I'm so happy that you found something that works well for you! That is so important. We have tried several things but kept coming back to the one we use currently. Gotta go with what works best!
It was nice to hear why you are choosing to stay with ACE. Our reasons are similar to yours. My children love it, it gets done, and I am still able to add in those things that suit our family’s interests. We will be starting our 4th year for my daughter and 2nd year for my sons later this month.
We had a year away from ACE and we just bought all the ACE Curriculum for my oldest 3 for next year. We're all excited about it. It just checks all of our boxes. ❤️❤️
Goodness I needed to listen to this again. These are all the reasons we're going back to it. Never should have doubted my decision back then. Peer pressure! 😂😩😢
I’m glad your going back to it I know they’re are sooo many options this is our first year homeschooling our 1st grader, I just want simple and it seems like ACE Is the way to Go.
Thank you for sharing this! I keep going back and forth so much between Christian Light Education, Rod and Staff, Masterbooks, Five in a Row, Heart of Dakota and was recently introduced to ACE! I know so many and actually somewhat different in approaches 😂 It can seem overwhelming, I just need to pray about it! I just subscribed to your channel! Any advice would be appreciated! God bless!
Absolutely pray about it! I made the mistake of NOT staying with ACE this year, and although we're learning a lot and enjoying what we're using, I regret leaving ACE at least once a week. I actually switched one daughter back in one subject today. We've used CLE, and still use many of their products, but only for the younger years. I absolutely love CLE's 1st grade Learning to Read program. I'm using it for the 3rd time with my 4th child and it's really wonderful.
I've never used it for kindergarten. (I use something else and I'm going to stick with it since I've done it 3x and only have 2 left to go through kinder.) The Mills Family youtube channel has an entire video dedicated to A.C.E. Kindergarten, and she walks you through the curriculum. It's very scripted for the parent/teacher, and very effective, so I've heard. I believe the Mills have each of their children go through it twice before starting 1st grade.
