Hey Brian, I have applied for disability and have a attorney handling it. I have a lot of physical and mental issues that will prevent me from working. My question is this. If I have no insurance and no income I can't go to a regular doctor, how should I handle this situation? I have other questions but I feel this is the most important. I am also homeless.

I realize I'm not Brian, so please forgive me. Because of your housing situation, has your lawyer asked for case expedited? How long have you not had Insurance? Do you have a Case Manager? What State do you live in? Yours is a special case in SSA'S eyes at this point, anyway, it once was, I don't know about anything, anymore. I wish you the best with your situation.

My advice would be to apply for State Medicaid then. If you are applying for Disability benefits you have to be diagnosed and if you already have benefits you have to continue seeing Doctors to keep your Disability. Good luck 👍

@@heathersirowy2414 have you applied and been denied and have that letter for proof to show your Disability Lawyer that you don't qualify? I'm presuming you even have a lawyer, do you?

@@DebLindley-xg8gz I had a lawyer until I won my approval. I was without any insurance for almost a year. I did not apply for State Medicare, I just researched the income limits and because my husband is retired, we made to much. May of this year I finally received Medicare and have established care with a doctor.

My mother has dementia and is 64. She does not qualify for Medicaid until she’s 65 UNLESS she is approved for SSDI. She is constantly confused and has a hard time explaining anything in detail. PLEASE HELP. How do I help prepare her?

Hi Brain I had a cdr six months ago then I get a letter and it says we sent you a letter that we were going to reveiw your disability case However we do not need your case at this time therefore we will not c0ntact your doctor now we will keep any imformation that you have given us we will contact you later if we need to reveiw your case is this because of a backlog of cases i live in Iowa
