I absolutely love them 😍 definitely gonna make at least one of them for next spring! Your tutorials are so easy to understand, i‘ve learnt so many new tricks already! Thank you so much 🥰
As a person that is currently pregnant and will soon be breast feeding - thank you for making regular clothing that can work for these times. I love sewing but don't want to make specific maternity clothing as that would be short lived and historically "maternity" patterns have a not very attractive look to them. I've struggle finding patterns that aren't fitted around the waist lately.
Oh I love that, thank you! My sister in law is currently pregnant too and I was thinking of her when I made these patterns. I’m glad you think they would be suitable for your needs. Congratulations on the baby!
Yay, you’re back! I love how Carmy gives a modern Greek goddess vibe, I adore the ethereal nature of the Oakley- and its adorable micro collar, but my favourite is the Poppy, the fabric choice, colour and manipulation of the print direction is just ❤❤❤
Obsessed with the fact that the Carmy pattern was named for the Bear! ❤These are beautiful blouses, I think Poppy is my fave but I'm def more of a cute girl than a cool girl personally, so I'd add puffy sleeves to mine. Just wondering whether the Carmy would work comfortably on the shoulder as well as off-shoulder, or if it's off-shoulder only?
Haha love that the reference isn't lost! Glad you like the tops 💜 The Carmy is constructed so the sleeves stay off the shoulder with a quite shallow armhole. So the rule is, whatever is comfy goes! But you will most likely want to wear it off shoulder if you sew it the way it is (without increasing the size of the armhole)
Question, have you thought about making pattern of previous makes, such as the dress scuba ; LV dress; mini leather dress; bubble frock; witchy dress to name a few 😊
Awwww you know all of them, that’s amazing 🩵 I have though about it, and some of my patterns are designs I have made before, like the Ophelia, Sally, and now Oakley to name a few. As time goes on I will definitely continue to translate more of them to digital patterns.
I love your videos, especially the Odette Vintage Velvet Holiday Dress! The dress looks so velvety on you because your complexion compliments the material so perfectly. What a beautiful dress! I was wondering when you choose to work with velvet what kind of blend do you prefer? I personally love velvet with a 90% polyester 10% elastane blend.
Oh thank you so much, that’s very kind! I definitely prefer having a mix of poly and cotton, with a bit of a stretch as that makes it fall more beautifully.
Hi there! Thanks for getting the Poppy sewing pattern - I recently did a bit of an deeper dive into how to cut facing in a new video, you can find it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JbBe5WKtppY.htmlsi=02imQjmu3UQ5e5dR&t=277 It should help explain the process more!
