3 TRADES To Fix (Save) The Toronto Blue Jays. 

It could be fun to propose trades with the Mets, Astros, Cardinals & Giants...but those teams are all still trying to get on track so we'll focus on the teams we KNOW will be sellers this season.

The only analytics I am interested in is Atkins’ exit velocity.

First priority is to fire Schneider and Atkins they are just horrible

Imo Jays should not be buying. I also do not trust Atkins with the retool/rebuild

The issue with Ryan McMahon is his stats are inflated due to where he plays. I can still remember that Troy Tulowitzki deal and how his offense dropped once he left the Rockies.

Hiring a new GM with some ambition would be a good start.

I'll never understand why so many people seem to overpay for Jazz his numbers have always been extremely average in the MLB. He doesn't put this team over the bump they need offense, not a guy who doesn't get on base or hit for power.

Chisholm's OBP isn't all that much better that what the Jays have now and he would cost us at least 2 of our only prospects we have. He would be an upgrade on offense over Kiermaier but that upgrade may come with too high a price.

First thing the Jays need to do is fire Atkins and Schneider both should not be part of this team’s future. They need to hire a competent GM and manager to start The problem I have with your trades is that you are depleting what is a weak farm system as it is.. these trades would put them last in that area. You are unloading the few nuggets that we have. I would like to make trades where we unload some of the mlb players who simply aren’t performing. Biggio, Pearson, kiermeir , IKF and Springer who is owed $50 million over the next two years but isn’t worth a quarter of that

There is no saving the blue jays. Like last year for my yankees, we never got it going for the season. Sometimes a lost season is a wake up like the Yankees.

I realize most prospects don’t work out but I remember a trade that was really bad .. in July 2000 they traded Michael Young who was at double A at the time plus Darwin Cubillan for Esteban Loiza ! Young was a 7 time all star and gold glove winner. Pretty sure one of those deals is going to have an impact player leave !

first trade should be Snyder the manager. today was my last straw. Tampa has zeroed in on never mind the whole league has on gusman and. Of the 3 McMahon is the only one that makes sense. They need a 3B badly and don't really need outfielders. Chisolm would be nice but I don't see any motivation for Miami to move a cheap star. Same for Rooker and the A's. You'd also lose the defense in the outfield you tried so hard to upgrade. McMahon is the ticket...

McMahon is a good fit but I would hang on barger for now also they got to cut lose some players on the roster first , fire GM fire entire hitting staff except Matt Hague

The jays need much more than just bats. They need at least two relievers, a solid 2nd baseman, a better backup catcher, and a power option at DH. Basically, we’re screwed

I think these trades are great if they extended some of their core, with Bo and vlad unsigned paying more for term doesn’t make as much sense. If they plan to extend vlad and Bo then they still guys for 2026 and on, so all of these trades make a lot more sense giving up big prospects like barger and Martinez

Right now, the Jays need the offense Martinez brings. Chishom doesn't warrant a top prospect. I like the second and third trade options for Mcmahon or Rooker.

How can you fix this team. Same as the Toronto Maple Leafs. Lean out the roster focus on offense. You need a two-way team to win. Jays have back loaded on defense but they have really found the right offensive line-up yet. I'd move Springer for whatever you can get for him. Hopefully it's a B list prospect or a pick where you can start building up the farm system.

I like the idea of each of these guys. But to mortgage the future to bring in one or two might not be in the best of interests. Of those, however, I'd go with McMahon as the everyday third baseman, have IKF and Schneider platooning at second with Schneider in left field when IKF plays. So that would mean bye bye Biggio and so long Clement since you don't need 5 players who can play 3B on the team. IKF and Turner being the others, and maybe package them in a deal for a backup catcher who can actually hit.

Oh man I just don’t feel like any of these are going to happen. I see Miami dangle Jazz but he’s the only saving grace for the fanbase. McMahon maybe but like you said he’s pricey. Rooker seems the most plausible but I imagine it’s going to take a lot given he’s basically playing for free. If something happens I feel it’ll be less of a splash and not have much effect on the seasons outcome.

Schneider and Atkins and shapiro should have been replaced when Schneider pulled Barrios on playoffs.

We need to get rid of Atkins & Schneider first. And I just wanna say I am not afraid to trade Vladdy to get one of those players, even Cavan Biggio should go too. Maybe trade Vladdy to Boston and get Triston Casas, so Vladdy can get mad at Yankees over there

Do not like the idea of a Jazz trade at all, the McMahon trade is interesting, sucks to give up Barger but a much better add then the other 2.

Not a chance trading Martinez for jazz because they need a change at GM and the hitting coaches first before making any moves.

I think Ryan McMahon could really help the Blue Jays offense, but I thought I've heard Jim say in another video that the Jays bullpen is one of the worst in baseball. So, what about some bullpen pieces?

McMahon? The only reason he is hitting this well is because of a BABIP over 400. He is a career below average hitter. This makes no sense at all. You really need to stop using "classic" stats when evaluating players.

If Jays wanted to improve Spencer Horwitz is rotting in AAA while we have the useless Danny Burgers taking up oxygen in Toronto. Move Springer to 9th and recognize Turner is 3 for 40 (.075) with 1 RBI in May. No need to deal prospects as long as the major league team is not being utilized properly. I said all Spring this team would be 10 games worse than 2023 and was called a hater.

There is no trades to fix this team. Recoup whatever value you can from your current players. Call up the farm. Fire everyone up and down including player development and high performance and start again. Something is wrong at a fundamental level.

If you keep Varsho batting second don't matter what trades you make the Jays will keep losing. Varsho is not a number two hitter not even close.

Yeah sorry - The Jays aren't really in a position to offload prospects. They have a bottom 10 farm, if not bottom 5... you're going to make that worse for a team whose veterans aren't performing? I also don't believe those trades get it done. The Rooker deal is way off. Macko had an ERA over 5.00 in A+ ball as a 22 year old... he's at a 4.50+ ERA right now. That can't be the prize coming back. If Rooker is made available other teams will offer far better packages than that.

I don't agree with the basic premise that the Jays should be trading away prospects for individual guys. I think they should be trading away veteran guys like Bichette and Guerrero for prospects. Build the team like the Orioles did. Add prospects. Rebuild from the ground up. That way, things would be a lot more exciting for the Jays fans. High ceilings for young players. Get rid of the idea of trying to add guys for prospects. Most important thing - don't let Atkins do it. Fire Shapiro and Atkins and let someone competent do it.
