I use organic, distilled rosewater for misting my face before applying products. I also use it as a light, non-oily moisturizer for face and body. It doesn’t moisturize like creams and lotions, but it doesn’t stain clothing or react with other products, either. As for nails, I like mine clean, well-shaped and smoothed in the natural shape, and short, just beyond my fingertips. No polish.

The most important skin care product for everyone is high SPF sunscreen. Use it everywhere skin is exposed, and daily, if you young ladies want beautiful skin at my age, 64. I always have and I get frequent compliments on my bare skin, but I don’t wear makeup except on special occasions. It also prevents skin cancer. Based on my father’s experience with skin cancer, I realized the surgeons cut it out very, very deeply. If you don’t want half your nose removed, wear the sunscreen. Be sure to cover ears, neck, upper chest, shoulders and arms. Some minimal sun damage can now be reversed with laser, etc., but it’s neither completely effective, nor inexpensive, nor comfortable - it hurts a lot, my friends tell me. If you have children, use sunscreen on them for every outdoor exposure. I use SPF 70 Oil-Free (Neutrogena Sport Face), I burn easily. Reapply after getting sweaty!
I try to put different products on in the morning and night so they are not competing with each other. The prescription creams I use at night and the OTC products in the am. I like the makeup products you demo’ed and may try the elf ones. Thank you!

Oh, yes! Kiko is big here (their lip products in particular are amazing!!!). In terms of beauty, I I find that Italians love the simple, easy to achieve solutions that will be effective (they don't spend hours getting ready). So trends don't play a huge part in their routine... they'll find what works for them and perhaps give it a refresh from time to time with new products or techniques. They do love their tan, so self-tanners and spray tans are huge - and lately I have been seeing a lot of women (and younger girls) resorting to injectables like botox and filler.
