I bought a 3 year old van and have a new Dmax with 12pin, I'm going to check all your fridge videos as my fridge won't run from the car battery.. I will have the car rewired to Anderson for the fridge as you've stated this would be better.. Thanks for the videos, keep up the great work
I don't usually like watching car crashes, but these videos really get the blood pumping. The fact that there wasn't any major property damage and that no-one was hurt helps me deal with it.
The best advise you can give on fuses and location is. A fuse is only there to protect your cable, not your fridge not your lights not your coffee machine just the cable. And its protecting your cable from tadaa...... catching on fire then catching your van on fire. Fuse always closest to the supply.
There is so much wrong on that caravan. Why would you put 60kgs of batteries at the back of the van? I cannot believe that that ridiculous unsafe wiring was done by a professional. One maxifuse and I think about 6 other unfused wires coming off both terminals.
It should have the persons details, electrical license number and company name for any works on vehicles. Part of the insurance policy. I’ve had a van catch fire, then car, it’s not fun. All because fu#kwit sparkies. I won it court! They paid for everything and more!
Look and take lots of pictures. Always have excellent correspondence with the manufacturer or dealer this way all communication is recorded if there ever is a warranty issue.
