Great Video, Bill! April 2024 prices... Rust-oleum clear is $20 and Crommelin Exterior Grade Waterproofing 4l is $80 at Bunnings. Paintable clear storm silicon is $23.

Bill, I would have added the liquid bitumen product. Crommelin 1l is about $16. Now bitumen is also compatible with drinking water surfaces. To make the job longer lasting soak it to a support cloth, polyester, fiberglass, cotton etc. This is specially useful for the first roof surface you fixed. It can be painted if the repair surface is visible. The paintbrush can be cleaned in water Keep em coming

Used the spray on a split in the flashing, great result and just need to paint it now. Thanks Bill.

On our leaking tin roof I used gaffer tape to cover the rusted problem areas, then painted over with that grey Crommelin waterproofing compound - absolutely fantastic, and has held solid for over a year now.

I have a gutter placed in the housing of a canopy, with lexan plates, not at the end of it but just before it. The gutter leaks from the brackets that support it (a few drops), especially in the point where there is the slope of the canopy near the hole and the end of the gutter, there is a continuous stream of water.

Thank you for the tips. I think the Aerosol LeakSeal is the go as it can get in and onto inaccessible places. I have used a product which is similar to a thick bitumen tar. It is most useful as it is can be forced into cracked to get a proper seal. In fact, you can make it run better but heating it with a heat gun. Not pretty as it is black as tar (pun) and is lumpy. But it is out of sight anyway, up in the roof gutters.

Wat is best so floplast gutter on joint union to allow exspantion I connected a new to old plastic and fitted a new seal but the gutter is lost a bit of profile

I have to reseal my box gutter at a warehouse, should I clean the previous silicone off before applying the crommelin or just paint it straight on top 2 coats?

hey man. I have leaking gutters but on all the joins. I have a colourbond roof and right at the back of the join is very hard to get to and clean properly but tried my best and got it pretty clean and dry. I have tried with roof and gutter silicone with longer silicone nozzles to reach right at the back of the join. Siliconed it but still leaks. Improved it but still leaking ( mainly from the rivets) Very annoying. Just drips. Should I try the spray ? Do I need to clean and take off the silicone I put before applying the spray? I have only done it from the inside of the gutter

I thought I'd like the spray but it's just too think and by the time you get a little area done, it's gone. I'd rather use the gallon container and seal it properly

If the job isent done with first coat the product is no good because that means you have to go back up the ladder again if your working on a job that's to much time and effort heavy liquid products are much better
