The musical term you are looking for are "phrases" and "phrasing". Master that, and your cuts will sound more natural. Some beatmatching skills are also useful 😊
Good tips because we eventually face the situation one sooner or later, first it s a bit “just like that” then when you learn to use DVR a bit better you do it better but your tips are valuable ! Thanks
Or just import the audio/music into Adobe Audition and use the Remix tool to extend or shorten the audio to the exact minutes and seconds you want. Then import it to DR or other editing software.
this is the answer I was looking for but not hoping for. I was using this in Premiere as well and only as time went by I did find out how many functions I missed.
I have been wondering about this. I just switched to davinci and premier pro has a audio Remix Tool and it was so helpful. I wish davinci had the same tool
@Joris Hermans love your vids by the way. But ya it is a tool that you can lengthen and shorten the clip to what ever length you want and it will automatically find the beats to sync together. I think it's an AI technology. It made it so easy to shorten or lengthen a song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4zSq57wxcJM.html
Here's hoping you recover from your mind-fog at the end of your very helpful video! 🤣🤣Fortunately for me as a career mathematician, I was able to follow your theory. And I'm about to cut my first music up in Resolve- thanks for this guidance. 👏🎵
Adding the dead space in-between the end of one clip and begining of another was a great tip. Sounds very professional. I will be using that, thank you
Hy Joris your tutorials are amazing, I learned a lot but one thing I can't find in your content. How can I adjust the video file to audio beat manually, in sub frame mode, fine tuning if you know what I mean? Because all the time when I tried this it's jumping a frame and it's not ok, it's not synced with the audio perfectly.
Not entirely sure if I understand but I think what you should do is unlink the video from audio and then turn of the magnetic snapping. It's the magnet icon and the one next to it. And then you can adjust it manually much more precise.
@@JorisHermans I've done that but even after that, I can't adjust precisely, if you want to put on the beat you can't, because it's jumping over or before the beat. It would be very useful for music video making. For the audio file it's possible but for the video not, I can do the moving by frames and it's not enough, sometimes the beat comes between frames.
