I guess most of us here already knows this, but I just cannot wrap my head around how saucers became the default depiction of UFOs in pop culture. I mean, pretty much everyone knows that the "saucer" idea came from a pilot in one of the first big media-mass-hoo-laas describing the unknown craft flying "like a saucer skipping on water", yet laymen and"professionals" alike cling to the saucer shape to this day because most people apparently stopped listening at the third word of a sentence. That's like as if I told you that Vladimir Putin was "often likened to a bear in stupid, low-effort memes on image boards", and then a hundred years later some historian would try to use this as a source when depicting Putin as a burly guy with bushy hair and a beard, even though the original quote, as well as actual pictures of Putin, were right at his fingertip.

Dammit right after I posted about it I look down and find you've already pointed it out 7 months ago. But yeah. Also the guy taking the footage altered it by brightening it up so it looked like it was daytime, ensuring you wouldn't think that the lights were reflected headlights (because why would cars have their headlights on in the daytime?), but if you actually look at the cars that are visible in the camera's view you can tell their headlights are on, and the house in the background wouldn't have such blinding light coming out of it's windows if the lights were on in the daytime. Only at night do you get that kind of brightly glowing effect.

The real joke is that the whole "flying saucer UFO" thing was entirely created out of misinterpreting the first widely reported UFO story in the media. The guy, an air force pilot, said that he had seen cigar-shaped objects that moved like "saucers skipping on the water", referencing the practice of stone-skipping, where a thrown flat rock bounces on the water surface if it hits it in the right, shallow angle. However, because it was such a weird description, only the "saucer" part got stuck in people's heads, and over time, the UFO sightings "incidentally" started referring to them as such. In other words, it was a misinterpretation that became a cultural meme before the time of the internet. It would be fascinating, if it wasn't so infuriating.

Well, maybe not cars driving by, but most likely light from inside the house. As he slightly moves, the light reflects from most likely a lamp or his ceiling light. What hints to it being a light from inside his house is the "back and forth war" that the light was having, because random cars driving by wouldn't produce that, and you would see red as well, which you didn't. You would get it from an inside source as you move back and forth

The ones after 15:16 I do not think are car headlights but the ones before 15:16 i think are. There could possibly be a Street/parking lot behind the camera, causing the lights to reflect off of the passenger side window. This is plausible because some lights are stationary and others move but only horizontally, compared to the stationary ones. The moving ones only move left to right, resembling the flow of traffic. Also, I do not see an idiot, such as myself, applying logic and trying to find a reasonable explanation for an unexplained phenomena. Believe what you want, I just think that there may be an alternative, more logical answer other than "ufos having a war in heaven"

The window, being made of glass, is mostly transparent to objects behind it, but *also* reflects some light from bright objects in front of it. The headlights are *behind the camera,* a little bit off to the right. The car is at an intersection, looking at cars passing on road A, with the headlights being reflected by cars approaching along road B from behind the camera to the intersection of roads A & B, where there is either a stop sign or a stop light (I'm guessing a stop sign, or maybe even a yield sign). Sometimes the cars are stationary, as they are waiting for a safe time to either a) turn left or right onto road A, or b) pass through the intersection and continue along road B. As they are stopped, the 'UFOs' appear to be stationary. As they do either a) or b), the 'UFOs' suddenly appear to fly off quickly either left or right. What do you think is more likely? An angel moron sitting in traffic, filming reflections of car headlights (probably daytime running lights, as most cars have these days) from behind him, and calling them angels? Or an angel moron sitting in traffic, filming an extremely rare atmospheric phenomenon that is hardly ever caught on video by anyone anywhere, that just so happens to a) sometimes hover motionless and b) sometimes suddenly veer off left or right, but c) *only* left or right, never in any other direction; and calling them angels?

Most of it is bullshit with a small amount being unexplained and not even necessarily alien. The urban legend lore of it is fun to read though.
