Hi Trish, I loved today's strict strength workout! The two rounds work great for strength as I can go up or down in the second round, depending on how the first round went. Lots of great upper body moves. I was able to use my 7, 8 & 10 lb. weights today. It felt great. I did the chest presses on the floor so that I could use my heavier weights, and I also managed to do the renegade rows on R2! Thank you very much! I did a 10 minute yoga session afterwards, and I am ready for my day now! More rain today, but at least I won't be outside watching the grandkids play in the rain, lol. 😍 They love jumping in the neighborhood puddles! Have a wonderful rest of your day and I hope your daughter has a wonderful birthday tomorrow! 🎂🥳🎈🎁🙋‍♀️💐🌺😊💪🌸🥰

Hello Lori. Thank you so much for your feedback on today's strength workout! You are doing so well using a variety of dumbbells to suit each of the exercises! Well done with the renegade rows R2. They are a very challenging exercise and it is difficult to stop the hips swaying from side to side! Adding the yoga exercises afterwards is such a great way to maintain your mobility and flexibility. Great job!! There is great excitement in our house for the birthday tomorrow!! We are counting down the hours now! I'd say that you are glad that you do not have to be out in the rain. My daughter used to love splashing in the puddles as well. I like to get my steps in by walking outdoors or by doing one of my walking workouts. I find it difficult to get my steps in with the strength workouts. I really enjoyed this one because it had me focus on slowing down; focusing on the muscles involved and form. I also liked the way you incorporated balance moves - I find them all frustrating, and might avoid them if they are the dominant part of a work out. Doing it this way was like sneaking in a green vegetable to a finicky child.

Hello Heidi. Yes, I feel the same way as you do regarding balance exercises. I don't mind incorporating two maybe three into a workout but I'm not crazy about doing the whole workout with balance moves. I like that analogy of sneaking green vegetables into a fussy child's dinner!! 🤣🤣 Have a wonderful Saturday 🙋‍♀️🤗🌹👏🌸🤎

This is the first of your workouts I've done and enjoyed it. Only used 1kg weights as I need to build up. No problems with following or balancing either. I do like that you do a decent warm up compared to some.

Hello Lisa. I am so pleased that you are enjoying the workouts. With regards to how much weight you should be using. A good rule of thumb is you should be feeling like you need to put the weights down by the end of each exercise. The muscles should be feeling a little quiver or fatigue coming into them but still maintaining good technique. Usually our large muscle groups like the muscles in the legs and bottom (butt) can take more weight than the smaller muscle groups such as the arms. Thank you for your question. Happy Friday! 💜💃🫶👏🌸🌷
