Hello & welcome all 50+ ladies, my name is Trish.

I am a 50 year old mother and enjoy working out to keep fit, healthy and strong as I enter my midlife years.

I'm a Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness and Pilates Instructor. I ran a successful Personal Training Business for 8+ years, teaching my clients how to workout and eat correctly (in order to lose weight) and maintain a healthy weight.

I decided to start my Lively Ladies RU-vid Channel so I could share fitness knowledge & help motivate women at this stage in our lives. It's important for us to keep fit in order to maintain bone density and muscle, and also help balance our hormones to control our weight.

I invite you to join me for my full follow along home workouts, that have been specifically designed for us women aged 50+ years. These workouts are ideal if you only have a small space and prefer working out in the privacy of your own home.

Please ask questions at any stage - I'll always respond.

Hi Trish, Happy Friday! Thank you for this great tummy toning cardio workout! What a fun combo of moves, and I always enjoy the no repeats. I used my 2 lb.hand weights and really tried to focus on keeping my stomach muscles pulled in! Thanks for the reminder about your community page posts as I always forget to check there. I hope you and your family have a lovely weekend! The weather is warming up here, yuck, lol. Tomorrow is my birthday (62) and I will be spending the day with my mom and sister. Hello Tracy. Very good timing. I am answering comments at the moment! I am like you. I prefer exercising in the early hours of the day before my head gets full of 'clutter' with the demands of two jobs, motherhood, housework and so on!! 🤪😆 I feel quite exhausted by about 7pm in the evening and I am ready to retire! Thanks so much Christine!! I do like repeating rounds, particularly with strength exercises. I always feel that I perform better the second time through. Hi Trish, Happy Wednesday! Thank you for this great walking workout!! Just what I needed today as this is an office day! I added my 2 lb. weights for a little extra and used them for all of the moves except the rolly polly moves. For some reason the position of the arms in that move makes it hard for me to add weights. I have over 3000 steps to start my day. Thank you again and I look forward to another workout tomorrow. Maybe I can even find another new one, lol. All my best! 🙋‍♀️🌷🏃‍♀️🪷🌺🥰

Hello Lori. Well done with today's walking workout! The 'roly poly' exercise is not unlike our standing chest press where we have to drop our weight somewhat. The position of the body and the weights going outwards or away from our midline can be stressful on the lower back. It is best to play it safe with these particular moves. Great job getting 3000 steps so early in the day. I love getting about 3000-5000 steps as early as possible. Have a lovely day at the office. See you in the next workout! 🥰💜🙋‍♀️💦👏🌼❤️

Hi Trish, I can't believe I found another new to me workout for today! This was a fantastic no repeat cardio workout with a lot of different moves. It felt great!! Thank you! I also liked the sleeveless top you were wearing. I have a hard time finding a sleeveless top for workouts without the racerback style in the back. The weather should be cooler here today, thank goodness. Yesterday was almost 90 degrees! Maybe I can get the kids out on a walk today. Yesterday we just stayed at their house and didn't go anywhere, but then sometimes they get bored, lol. So your daughter goes away for camp next week? I bet she is excited. Hello Lori. I can't believe that you are still finding 'new' workouts. It is amazing how they accumulate over time! The tank top that I am wearing in this video is quite old. I can't remember where I got it from? I usually buy my outfits for shooting the videos on a website called Shein. Their prices are very low but I find their sizes to be inaccurate. Sometimes I pick up tank tops or leggings in our local supermarket. I have been doing that lately. We had some rain here today which cooled the air significantly. My daughter just does summer camp during the day. She will be home by early afternoon. She would LOVE to go away for a whole week without her parents being there!! 😄😄 They get so independent really fast! I finish up with my childcare work this week for the summer. @@LivelyLadiesFitness Hi Trish, thanks for the info re the tank top. I've heard of SHEIN but have never ordered anything from them. The sizes did seem to be off and I wasn't sure what size to order. The prices seem very low though so maybe I'll check it out. The weather was odd here yesterday too! It was cloudy and actually rained for just a tiny bit. I'll take the cooler weather though. Unfortunately it is fire season this time of year which is always nerve wracking! There have already been so many fires up and down California. Well, I hope your daughter enjoys her summer camp. Yes, I'm sure it will be a nice break from watching the other school children for the summer. They can definitely be tiring! I can't believe it is summer already. The kids do grow up so fast. My daughter and the kids were over this weekend and I put a tiny bit of blush on the 7 year old's face and she was so excited. It was cute. Before I know it she will be a teenager! @lorifl9 You are very welcome Lori. I order my tank tops from Shein every now and then but sometimes the sizes are very inaccurate, either too big or too small. Their prices are very reasonable though. I read somewhere that they are more popular than Amazon for people ordering clothes on line! I can imagine that it is very frightening this time of the year with the intense heat and high temperatures. It seems to be getting worse each year. We see stories of fires on the news over here each summer in parts of California. My daughter loves make up and perfumes. Her room smells like a drug store with the different combinations of sprays and facial creams!! They really do grow up so quickly. Your granddaughter will be all grown up before you know it! This was a great full body sweaty workout with weights!! It sure makes a difference in lifting those heavier weights while breathing correctly! Engaging our abdominals is such a simple manoeuvre but can really protect our lower back and our joints. Well done with this strength session. Hi Trish, Happy Monday!! Thank you for this great strength workout! I look forward to strength classes on Mondays now! I used a variety of dumbbells from 4 to 8 lbs. What a fantastic variety of moves! 💪 We had a nice weekend. The weather was warm but not too miserable. Babysitting day today! I hope you have a good week! Hello Lori. Yes, it seems to be working out that way with strength on Mondays!! Great work using a mixture of weights for each of the exercises. We had a busy but enjoyable weekend ourselves. The weather is incredibly hot for us at the moment. We visited a beach in North Co. Dublin yesterday which is about a 30 min drive from our house. It was lovely walking in the sand. My daughter loves the water! She is excited to be finishing up her school year this week. She will be going to summer camp for one week next week with her school.
