I know this for myself. I became physically disabled after a MRSA infection on/in my spine. I now use a walker when in public and adults stare WAAAAAAAY more than kids. Children ask about what's wrong, especially when they can see my back and the surgical scars. I have no problem with answering those questions for them and using it as a teaching situation. But adults?!? They'll whisper, or try (but my hearing is excellent so I hear them) and I will absolutely tell them what's wrong and that they should just ask instead of talking about people. It's annoying. But I ultimately don't GAF about them. I'm blessed to be alive.

You can tell she doesn’t like fighting and fussing with her mom. She isn’t happy about that at all. It hurts her deeply that their relationship isn’t a good one. It was so sad to see every muscle in her face working so hard together to keep back those built up tears. Pretty girl and I can relate and understand when she says she doesn’t like people because maaaan, I’m in that some boat lol! God bless her family and I pray someday she and her mom can be closer. 💯💜
I also have MS and I'm going through a flare up right now. I really pray for her, it's not an easy disorder to deal with. I pray her mother has a change of heart or she gets housing 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
@ Brittany Hinton unfortunately her mother is a LOSER she has a baby girl out on the street with her grandchild and gets physical with her child who has physical issues I’m disgusted this young lady needs to take her check she receives and rent a room for now or get into a apartment that goes by her income while her son is at school she has to search for housing whether that’s a room or apartment or roommate situation 🤔
@@arlisaburkes82 Depends. Everyone is different. Brain fog may impede her ability to work from home. Such a complex disease. Effects every aspect of your body/life...my depression comes from the constant pain and fatigue (like covid fatigue, if you've experienced that) everyday, never a normal day. Sucks.

I am not familiar with Atlanta, but my advice to this young woman would be to migrate to a less populous more affluent suburb and establish residency through renting a room at a weekly motel. Then "evict" yourself and son from the motel (lack of funds etc.) and enter a shelter program in that county. Once in the shelter the case workers will automatically submit an application for subsidized housing on your behalf. Given your disability and the age of your son she should shoot to the top of the eligibility list. Hope this helps

She is right people are so so mean to you and doctors are the worst. It hurts to be judged when people don’t understand Ms. we did not choose this disease. Family members treat you the worst no understanding no sympathy. Physical pain All the time and medication doesn’t help just mask the pain, and memory problems suck, not to mention visual changes. All this she going through causes her stress on her body which cause the disease to rapidly increase rapidly. God bless her, because my sister didn’t make it and I have been battling it for a long time. Pls do more to help us Ms patients.
Ps. If you young lady reads this weeds, slows down the process of Ms affect. I am a believer in this for before it was legalized, it has kept me from the scary effect we don’t talk about. But my neurologist is so overwhelmed with how well I’m doing and feeling with my choice of treatment. Keep you head baby I promise god will make it better. And let your son grow with his dad. My sister allowed that for my niece. And I with mine.
Omg the sadness not only in her eyes, but her entire demeanor is full of sorrow. I can't imagine 😢 what she's going through from day to day. All while having a lil boy to care for. Her mom should be ashamed of herself for putting her and that precious child on the streets. I can't help but wonder if there's more to the story 🤔. Either way it's a sad situation. And even if her mom changes her mind to allow them stay, I'd still be looking for my own place. Not sure which title of disability she's receiving, but if its ssdi then her son is getting a supplement check. But regular ssi then he isn't. But then again there are many resources for ppl in her position that can receive much help from the government, she just gotta know how to work with the system. I understand exactly. When you're on SSI/SSDI, you can't get regular housing because your income has to 2.5 - 3x the rent. And hud/section 8 waiting list are 2 to 3 years long. The government will send billions to Ukraine but citizens right here can't obtain affordable housing. It's so sad.
You can see the pain in her eyes and her body. It's hard living with MS and also have a child to tale care of with no support. I hope she is able to get into a shelter and get linked to a Case Manager to help her get transportation in place for appointments.

I totally understand her being closed off!!! Ppl judge u when ur not feeling well and it’s just easier being alone!! So yeah I totally understand and can relate to her! Seriously I feel her but she’ll get it together WATCH and then she’ll see these days as a past thing!! She will definitely get her life straight but she gotta just figure it out on her own.. she got this for sure❤
She needs a case manager /advocate for her disability. I find it strange that she doesn't. Social security disability services usually refer recipients to whatever is required such as housing, medical and social needs.
I wish I could take she and her son into my home. I know what she’s going through with MS induced depression. The struggle is real! Hugs sweet sweet girl!
I don't know about 'Section 8 or is it Section H" but some of you in the comment section might know and can help her get housing. One thing I have heard is YOU have to pay a part of your rent according to your income So, if she's getting a SSI check, probably only $700 per month, that's not gonna be enough, right??

If she’s got Medicaid then she has transportation, through her insurance! I’ve been using Non-Emergency Medical Transportation for many years with different insurance companies. She needs to phone her Ins co and schedule it. 😊

Is a culture I did not understand and probably will never, how can you kick your own child just because they are certain age sorry but Africa is whole lot of other story your child is your responsibility regardless of age let alone one that has some needs ,that child must be extra special assignment given to you by God that needs more attention specially for a girl she is a mother too. If she has MS then she is immunocompromised. Hopefully it's not COVID that she's sick with. Our systems don't develop antibodies from the vaccines at normal levels. God bless her and her son
It’s something that she is not telling. Most of the time it be the adults not the small children. They use the children as pawns to be in their parents house and be disrespectful and they think that they won’t have to leave because of the children. Sometimes the parents have to make the sacrifice to have peace in their household.
You can see the pain in her eyes that her and her mom are at odds. I know there's two sides to every story but its cold outside to have her mom kick them out on the Atlanta streets smh. Also her MS disability makes being homeless even worse. She seems like a sweet young lady whose just tired of mean people judging her. Sometimes I feel the same way and just keep to myself rather than dealing with negativity. I'll be praying for you and your son that you find a safe place to live. Blessings 💕
Marcus, maybe you can research and have resources to direct some of these people. Check out facilities that take children and the mentally ill. That way you can direct them to these places.
