@@xxmrppman69x33 Aight this is gonna sound like some mad shit if you haven't heard any of it, but the whole elder scrolls universe is a dream experienced by an one unconscious being. When you're confronted with the knowledge that you're just part of someone else's dream, you'll mostly likely conclude that you don't exist and vanish from reality entirely. This is known as Zero Summing. However, some people manage to confront this knowledge and state with totally irrational confidence that they exist anyway, and these people essentially become lucid dreamers within the dream making them basically omnipotent. This is what happened to both Vivec and Talos, and it is called achieving Chiim

It is interesting to think that the Night Mother was willing to appear before and speak to the entire Black Hand because the Dark Brotherhood was in such peril but in skyrim the order is almost completely wiped out and her ONLY caretaker is Cicero and she refuses to speak to him or any of the other remaining members of the guild. But in Oblivion, Night Mother also says that she didn’t warn the Brotherhood because the Listener was weak (and I think the other members of Black Hand too, hence she decided that they needed a good old fashioned purge). i think that shadowmere's gender change is one of two things: either a simple oversight by the developers or it was on purpose and a very very very subtle nod as to what shadowmere truly is: a daedra. although my main example is a daedric prince, which i do not think shadowmere is lol, its not unheard of for daedra to change gender. boethiah frequently changes gender. but i've also personally always felt that shadowmere is a daedra and this just adds to my theory

Frankly the Information on Morrowind in Skyrim is full of so much contradiction that it’s pretty much impossible to take anyone at their word, in the Quest for Bran-Shei we’re told that he’s actually the last living descendant of House Telvanni since the Argonians wiped the house out, but Brelyna in the College of Winterhold claims to be a part of House Telvanni and Neloth claims that House Telvanni is still around. I think it’s best to assume that the Combined destruction of Red Mountain Erupting and the Argonian Invasion was so apocalyptic and devastating that there’s no way to properly take census of what’s still around, perhaps all the Silt Striders died out in one part of Morrowind while in another part they survived.
@dustwyrm
@dustwyrm Год назад
@@InquisitorThomas I thought Bran-shei was the last heir of the actual family named Telvanni, not the last of the Great House Telvanni. Brelyna's family is Maryon(you can find at least five other members of this family in Morrowind and Oblivion iirc), which is probably an important family in the Great House Telvanni, but isn't the family actually named Telvanni. I could be mistaken, though.

Divayth Fyr, and Mistress Dratha. Both pop up in Morrowind, and then are also seen 800 years in the past during the events of ESO's Vvardenfell expansion. (I'm pretty sure there are other recurring Telvanni, I don't remember off hand.) Outside of House Telvanni, there's a borderline unique undead example: Volrina Quarra appears as a living NPC in ESO, but reappears as the head of the Quarra Vampire Clan in Morrowind. As with Helseth and Berenzeraih, there was an error. During ESO: Morrowind's beta her race was set to Dunmer, and her voice work was recorded by one of the Dunmer voice actresses, however the original NPC was an Imperial. By the time ESO Morrowind released, her race had been modified, but the NPC still has Dark Elf voicework. (It's also heavily implied that she's already infected and in the process of turning when you encounter her in ESO.)

Nafahlaar is his Dovahzul name. After Tiber Seprim conquered Tamriel, he went under his service, and after a while ended up styling himself as Nafalilargus, which is just the Cyrodillic stylization of his name. But ye, same dragon.

M'aiq has the solution is in essence, there is a short quest early on that takes you to some plane of oblivion. In a cave? Possibly something to do with a chest. Its been a very long time. You find a dagger in this area, with a note saying "From M'aiq to his son, M'aiq. "

I feel like umbra might've been inspired by the one ring, from the middle earth series/lord of the rings. It's backstory has many parallels if you think about it-a magical weapon, created by a diety that used part of their soul in its crafting. The artifact being irresistable to mortals, with a mind of its own and driving all users but its creator insane.

Her honeyed words hide devious purposes. Heed instead the words of the Covenants, and trust not in the promises of Daedra!" - Primate Artorius Ponticus, Akatosh Chantry

@@mrcopycat2355 i think u can definitely argue some daedra r good, all the good events in morrowind literally wouldnt have happened without azura
@NATIK001
@NATIK001 3 года назад
Even the "good" Daedra do bad things, and hey sometimes the "bad" Daedra do good things, the common thread is that they do what best serves them and their aims, some Daedra just have aims that favour mortals more and others less. Azura didn't facilitate the events of Morrowind out of the goodness of her heart. She claims she wanted to help the Dunmer, but she also sought the death of Vivec. Vivec's loss of powers/death/disappearance leads directly to Red Mountain erupting which certainly goes against her stated aim of helping the Dunmer. More likely she just wanted to punish the Tribunal for their betrayal of her and Nerevar, damn the consequences. Meridia doesn't understand nuances, she is the lady of light, she burns away all who doesn't follow her rules if at all possible. She tends to punish evildoers but only because some evildoers like necromancy, vampirism and the like. She doesn't actually care about suffering of mortals or anything like that. Hircine cares about the hunt and its aspects, he likes the hunter, the hunted and all who take part in the hunt. He doesn't lift a finger to do anything but make the hunt interesting, sometimes that means helping the little guy (the prey) and sometimes it means creating a little guy (creating prey), we may consider the first good and the second bad, Hircine doesn't care. Hircine also created Lycanthropy which is a disease considered an evil to most mortals. Malacath is gets the closest to good in his protection of outcasts, but he is so restrictive in his protection and in his rules that arguably he actually creates outcasts. Some Orsimer believe Malacath is a lie even, a fiction of Boethia meant to keep them from following their true god of Trinimac. Either way it's possible Malacath actually helps keep the Orcs in their outcast status because of his own desires and that he might not be helping them. As for the other Daedra there are lots of times where even the outright evil Daedra will help cause some "good" event on Nirn because it helps that Daedra win a personal battle. The Daedra are all about self interest, it just happens at times that Daedric self interest aligns with what is best for mortals.

For unclear reasons, wizards have a much longer life span than their race is normally capable of. This is across the board. Only mage elves live more than a few hundred years. Only mage humans live past their 80's. With necromancy or vampirism, you can extend your life indefinitely.
