all fun and games until you lose a Reed valve into your intake lol. why not use a vacuum operated butterfly? attach the vacuum hose to the turbo inlet.
My guy you are a good fabricator but this makes no sense! Why can't you have the carb mounted on top of the turbo, and then have the pipe go to a regular intake with a 90 degree boot? It could have been much simpler than that.
Might have to try this on my 4x4 65 f100... Not looking for killer power just a boost. Lol. Any ideas for running a 2bbl or adapting a tbi system with it?
I have intake four this Application. I think this gonna work much easier. (Bloowntrou Carborators are harder tou gett tou wark.6psi boost and over are harder tou handel.)
Kiitos kommentistasi. Kanavasi onkin minulle muuten jo entuudesta tuttu, koska sitä punasta Challengeriasi olen käynyt ihmettelemässä video arkistostasi ;)
hello! no. this is not my turbo build, i only build this video ;) you can read this build > www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/318-draw-through-build.235927/ < maybe there are some updates
I started turning my head at minute2:30 but at 2:50 i had the phone hold straight and my head upside down to read trim reed here .... lol.. when i put my head straight my dog had the ears pulled back and giving me the weird eye. ....lol ..
@Kirby Proffitt I'm trying to learn up on these. It seems the only people that use these actively currently are the air cooled VW guys. I found an old Martin turbo systems book.... and instructions. They should be here in a few days. I'd love to find some literature on the Accel turbosonic besides advertisements. I just want to add a little oomph to my 81 GMC C3500 for pulling up some grades while towing. Maybe I'll delve down the rabbit hole and utilize it for other stuff later.
you can read this whole story in www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/318-draw-through-build.235927/ its only seven pages long (this not my own turbo project. i'm only made this video)
@@ethanshantz7401 ehhhhhh... Nop... 318 Say 318 in the casting block and the bore and stroke la diferent to the 360... Don't worry i preferred the 360 😏... Cheers from venezuela
Ak Miller Accel Turbosonic Martin turbo systems Gale banks Lingenfelter Maybe you've heard of them. Boats Tanks Airplanes RVs Corvair Olds F85 Turbo Buicks before efi Turbo Fords before efi Turbo Pontiacs before efi They all used this system. It has it's pros and cons, but it works. The only reason they went away is because efi handles the tuning for you. It's easier.
Aluminum intake to aluminum plate, you can weld on cast aluminum👍 this is a great fabricator that did this. I’m a welder fabricator for over 30 years experience with aluminum and this video is very impressive.
I do not understand that system! Ok the intake intake side manifold is for the turbo air flow ok, but and the other intake or outlet is on the back or back of the manifold intake to where it is connected ?? Why escape the engine gases that spin the turbo? ... thanks would help an explanation because the video does not see that detail.
My English is bad and im not sure wath you meaning, but i try... Intake -the reed valves are for idle to boost ... -Reed valves close the connection between the carb and the intake, forcing the carb to feed trough the turbo. Exthaus -normal pipe connet betwean to left & right Exthaus , connet to Turbo and normaly out read this - www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/318-draw-through-build.235927/ and google this - Martin System Turbo -

i think you can build this normaly pistons and rods and crankshaft... its that its just meaning of low pressure Draw Throught turbos;) this is very good vid, look this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Jtn4PyzFspc.html
