Sophia reminds me of my late grandmother... after she suffered a stroke she recovered but for the rest of her life she had no filter, no chill and was hilariously savage. I became a fan of "The Golden Girls" because when I was little, I would stay with my grandma Betty- "Grammy" as I called her- after school and she was a big fan of both "The Golden Girls" and "I Love Lucy." Watching these shows nowadays makes me feel as though Grammy is still alive and sitting next to me on my living room couch. Grammy died when I was fifteen; I miss her a lot, but I'm doing okay.

Sophie Petrillo will always be my favorite character from this show. I love her sassy and bad assy self😂. When my grandma was alive, she and I would laugh the most over her antics.

I used to watch this with a 75 year old man...he loved Sofia and would tell me I'm more like Dorothy...sarcastic..I miss him...Rip Eddie...I watch this when I think of him...

No matter how old i get what mood I'm in i will always revert my time right back to the GOLDEN GIRLS, ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS there will never ever be any show like these women, no matter what era or generation, they did it the best! Long live these shows for another 1000s years!
