i thinnk it took me more time to remove and re-install the axle than anything of the rest.. it's the best if you wrap the rubber insulator around the joint with something like a cardboard thingngy for it to slip ( i used a cut out cereal box ) because.. the darn thing gets stuck between the coil spring base and the anti sway bar links.. so..when you re-instal it.. put a couple of tire- wraps so it doesn't go that low and follow the coil spring .. whew..!
I totally agree with you on the axle. it only takes a few minutes t pull each side out and have plenty of clearance for the bolts. Otherwise youre ganna end up wasting an hour because there isnt any room at all for your "shortcut". My only advice is when hammering the axle out, doing it this way can damage the threads if you go at it too hard. I made the axle nut flush with the head of the axle and hit it directly. That way you are using the end of the axle shaft as a surface instead of only the threads to take the force.
I bought rear axle bearings , they were pressed in type yours are splined , and this is an 05’ , i’m changing too 370Z rear bearings and axles , stronger bigger bearings , not pressed in , 31 splined , ,,,,,,
@@living2learn138 It actually wasn't bad at all ! I pre soaked all the bolts in PB, They all broke loose easy, The axle slid right out, New bearing and hub assembly fit perfect. I put new e-brake pads and brakes while i was in there, Took about 5hrs to do both sides, Could of done it faster but took my time and lubed all bushings and joints, The worst part was getting the rotors off, They were stuck on good and i didnt want to damage them, I beat the shit out of them with a hard rubber hammer.
@@TALONATER I know one thing I should have gotten the hub bearing assembly because I bought the bearing 90 bucks and had NAPA do the press work 53 dollars so 140 and could have gotten the assembly a moog 125 smdh NAPA thirsty ass last bearing I had pressed was 20 bucks...
Caught you sayin about an LS swap, when you planning on getting that ball going? I got a 383 stroker motor that Im planning on doing mine in. Buddy of mine said that they have intake kits that will eliminate the distributor for mine since Im going old school and not an LS. Im sure you will do the hard research on where and how you get the wiring harness to work. Thats my only issue Im having figuring out. Vids are great keep it up brutha 😀
Yeah still unsure if i wanna ls or boost but check out this company plug and play harnesses for different swaps www.wiringspecialties.com/nissan-350z/ 👍
thatbluezguy yeah, Im up in arms with the swap idea too, I mean, nothing wrong with my DE it sounds great, runs great. I also have a chevy 79' monza spyder with a 355 v8 in it. I think they only reason I would do the swap is for reliability purposes at this point. Keep the vids up bro taker easy
Would be more useful if you first tell people why you changing it, how u figured it out needs to change...noises while driving or turning? Some people, like me- not "comprendo" in the cars😂 so if you tell the " symptoms " of bad bearings- will be more helpful...
I absolutely would have done that but there was nothing wrong with the wheel bearings they just had 100,00 miles on them so it was just preventive maintenance 👍
