I do a 2 days a week training split myself. I love it! Every time I step into the gym it’s an absolute joy. I’m always fresh & recovered for my workouts. Knowing I only have 2 days makes me have a super focus on quality hard reps. Making great progress 💪

@@happym5717 To be clear though, I do live life outside the gym to optimize my gym time & recovery. I’m pretty strict at keeping diet, stress levels, sleep all dialed in. But yes, with this approach it’s more freeing to not have to be at the gym constantly.

I’ve done lengthened partials as an experiment for my side delts. Looking at my shoulders in pictures comparing them to 1 year ago, they look massive in comparison. Game changer.

It is funny how all these coaches (Alberto never pushed it but Eric Helms did) RP strength, Revive, Shoenfeld etc. pushed crazy volume/frequency and everyone is now falling back to 6-10 sets per week. 🤣🤣. Mike Israetel recommends lower volume now. Even the long ass preps/diet phases are not recommended. Now "mini-cuts" are the thing which is just a fat loss phase that EVERYONE was doing before. They all were making that cash though, selling their e-books and seminars. Meso-cycles, metabolite training, periodization none of that is necessary for hypertrophy. It was just a way to complicate things made you a slave to your coach. Berto gives his athletes more freedom, tries to simplify it to allow for better adherence.

@@cdrtej No, it was not. You are meant to build to it and even over it before deloading to be followed by your next meso, to be followed by blah blah blah. It is all part of their "TRAINING VOLUME LANDMARKS" and it is not necessary.

Yeah people fall for the trends & peer pressure so easily. They could be making great progress on their current program, then a study comes out contradicting their method of training, and they’ll uproot their entire program to fit the new accepted orthodoxy 🫲🫤🫱

Is that 6sets a week per muscle group , so 2x upper would be split roughly 3 sets per muscle group over the two upper session per week , is that right ? Great podcast ❤
