In this video I try out some new GoPro mounts and camera angles, show you how I get some amazing footage with an Insta360 OneX2, and take a quick post-maintenance flight while doing touch and go's to test everything out!
A big HELLO from CYQT, Beautiful Thunder Bay Ontario Canada. This is the 3rd viedo I've seen of yours, Home Sim, Preheat and now this one. All GREAT videos, really good information. NICE plane too. Love the wheel pants, you don't see too many planes with them. My Yellow Avid Magnum is set up in a tricycle config and has them, I think it looks really nice. Kind of gives it a "classy" look, as much as that can be achieved with a Magnum. lol I look forward to future videos. Thank you for sharing your aviation experience and knowledge. Oh and fyi, your landings looked really smooth, not flying for 2 months didn't phase you at all!
Great video! I just got my PPL and bought a 182. Do you mind sharing what brand wing strut clamp and extension pole you used in this video. I'd like to get a similar setup to start recording my flights.
Thanks for watching! The camera is an Insta360 One X2, and the mount is a Flight Flix strut pole mount with the 36” pole. Here’s the link to the mount: flightflix.net/product/pilot-annie-strut-pole-mount-combo/ Congrats on your PPL and 182! My only regret is not doing it sooner… Thanks for following along!
Great vid! I think there’s some possibility you’re landing a bit fast - note how quickly the nosewheel is touching down. But it’s the Internet, 182s tend to be nose heavy, and everyone’s a critic. 😂
So I just got the 360 pole mount.. do your pole clamps have a little bit of swivel between them and the strut clamp before the pole is added? Also subscribed! Love the laid back videos from a fellow 182 driver :)
@@jacobodv5633 This mount is from a company called "flight flix" and should be on their website. Let me know if you need any additional info. Have some videos from it on my channel!
I wonder if you'd be able to mount the 360 camera pointed straight up on the vertical stabilizer to get kind of an overhead shot of the entire airplane.
