even without Brendan in the picture, Stug would've never worked out! Doug is too possessive and insecure to be in a relationship! the brendan thing, the walker thing, the kids, he just is not meant for Ste. They're better of as friends. I'm glad they broke up!
I'm sorry. Why does Ste have to check with Doug before he lets HIS kids stay with them?! And why on Earth would Doug be upset that Ste's kids are with them? THEY. ARE. HIS. KIDS.
I dislike Doug so much. His desperation in getting Steven married to him is just wrong. When something feels wrong in a relationship you don’t pop the question and Steven you don’t say yes just because someone asks you. There is a only one true couple here and that’s Brendan and Steven.
Oh jeez it's 2021 imagine Brendan comes back to Hollyoaks now, has been keeping this picture of Ste even in prison thinking he'll never ever have his picture together with Ste on that front of their wedding invitation😭
If Doug can't handle the fact that Ste wants to spend time with his kids, he's not ready to commit to this relationship. It's one of the myriad of problems Stug has, along with Doug's insecurities and jealousy and Ste not being over Brendan. And lovelorn Brendan is just the sweetest thing I've ever seen. I want to cry.
You know, Doug's reaction to Ste coming with the kids is a prime example why Stug can never last and Stedan is endgame. It is perfectly underastandable that Doug does not want to have kids at such a young age, however, when you are prepared to marry someon with children, you have to accept them in your life as well. Brendan better hurry up and sweep Ste off his feet! They belong together.
At this point, it's so not fair if Ste doesn't get Brendan in the end. All the progress and maturing that Brendan has made is a direct result of Ste. Brendan is a better person now because of it, and I'd hate some other bloke to reap all the bounties of Ste's hard work.
i really have enjoyed brendan and his softer venerable side the last couple of months.he has gone through a lot and is trying to become a better person.when he thought walker was going to kill ste, cheryl,or declan, the fear he felt if that came about, really awesome acting.doug is a one trick pony like noah, its always what about me and what i need,i'm so sick of him, leah is more mature than he is.
Brendan continues to break my heart! He's carry around a folded wedding program so he can have Ste's picture! I want to run to Hollyoaks and give him a hug and support him they way his SISTER should be. Wow, Tony on the war path...can't say I blame him!
Thank you so much for being this quick ! I was refreshing my browser to see if you would post it before I go to bed, and here we are .... It has been quite a long time since I have been this hooked on HO !
thank you so much for posting you are the best...in other news Maryland, Washington and Maine legalized gay marriage three days ago with a total of 9 states legalizing gay marriage in the US Yay !!!!!!!!!!!
Gosh I love Tony getting back at Rhys lol. I know he can't make Cindy love him or to be with her but Rhys is such a slime I suspect he is the one dying in the crash.
i can't begin to tell u how much i love that ste has his kids back, i love that man and seeing him happy make me sooooo happy,(reality aside lol) and glad to see leah and lucas back am a big fan of leah she's adorable and a good little actor. i know it might be hard to tell by the few lines that she's given but she id always convincing. lol (totally not kidding)
Doug left me speechless this episode with his reaction to Ste's kids staying longer that originally planned. did he not see how heart broken Ste was when Amy and the kids left? whether he realized it or not when he proposed to Ste...his kid were part of the package, but it must've been okay since they lived far away with Amy...can we say possessive much boys and girls? jealous of BB is one thing, but jealousy towards the man's children...WOW really?!
It's strange watching this show and hoping no one gets married tomorrow. These couples make barely more sense than if Ste were marrying Cindy, and Doug were marrying Tony.
God, Brendan has been through a lot. He's been abused, got into prison, killed someone, nearly died, been treated like a scumbag his whole life, had only receive an ounce of love in fleeting rations & among other things! I just want something tangible for him. Can't he just be happy for once, preferably with Ste? Coz his story is seriously breaking my heart.
Oh, and I love how people comment about Doug with the kids, but they want Stendan as end game. Cuz, yeah, it's waaayyy better to have your kids around a killer/body hacker upper.
Something happens during the wedding but I don't want to say because too many people scream about spoilers and what defines a spoiler but there is a commercial preview on telly and also on here.
brendan realistically can't think that ste wants to go back to him right now so I don't think he will tell ste he loves him. if he won't it will be another step to learn how to love in a selfless manner without games or manipulation but putting the interest of the person you love first
wow...if Doug loved the kids...then nothing should've been said. Ste doesn't have to involve him in the decision making, those are Amy and Ste's children...he might hear what he has to say, but in the end the final word belongs to Ste. Ste does not take Doug for granted, because if you haven't noticed...Ste has been twisting himself in the shape of a pretzel to please Doug. Doug is jealous, how much more alone time with Ste does he need? Ste has no one, let him have his kids for christ sake...
Brendan has to come out of his comfort zone and tell Steven the truth about his child hood! He needs to give Steven an explanation for his abusive behavior towards him! And he have to tell him about his sexual abuse from his father, and that why he did what he did! He also have to let Steven know how much he still loves him! And that he wants him back! And he is making a big mistake by marrying Doug! Because he is not in love with Doug! That's the only way to get Ste to listen, and not be upset!
@greymushroom1 god I know :( it's so heartwrenching because it does in a way show he's changed if he lets him go and get married to Doug, but like you said he just wants to really tell him how much he loves him :(((
As long as Brendan doesn't go after Doug and just goes and tells Ste that he wants him to call off the wedding and be with him then maybe Ste wouldn't be hurt. I do think what Doug is doing is going to hurt Ste in the end, either Brendan is going to be arrested or Ste will if the illegal gun purchase get's talking about when Doug tries to get Brendan to confess. In the sub plot yes Rhys should tell Cindy.
I think nothing Brendan can say will deter Ste from marrying Doug. The only person who can come between Ste and Doug is Doug. For example, if Ste finds out what Doug is doing with Brendan and the police. Cindy is bent on marrying Tony, her ticket to financial security. Probably nothing Rhys can say will matter to her. But will Tony tell Jacqui? I ask because if she tells everyone, wouldn't it be too humiliating to Tony to go through with the wedding?
Apparently, I have to keep saying this: There are places for discussing what's going to happen, as shown in the previews, but the comment board here is a place where viewers should be able to discuss the current episode without being surprised by unwanted spoilers. I know you mean well, but I don't want to know what happens ahead of time, and a lot of people here don't. Please remove your comment. Thanks.
It's a show of common courtesy and respect to call Doug and let him know about the kids. Doug is going to be Ste's husband, he should be included in a decision that affects him. Ste doesn't need permission since they are his kids & Doug needs to accept that Ste is a package deal. Also it would be good for Doug to bond with the kids since he will be their step-father.
the hate on Doug is only intensify b/c of the shipping wars and just some ppl just don't like the character. What makes it annoying is he is being a hypocrite and for moving to another step in his life, that is what he should be focusing on, not getting Brendan out of the picture. Doug does deserve a nice guy and he has Ste but he is digging his own hole. Ste recent behavior did not help but Doug issues with Brendan and insecurities was long before that.
Here's my prediction: Brendan will self incriminate himself by telling Doug all that he has done to keep Ste safe and that he won't stop the wedding because he wants Ste to be happy. Doug will feel bad and mop around get married then tell Ste what he has done. Ste will get upset and run off and get hit by a car and be put put into a coma. Hopefully Doug realizes how much of a idiot he is and get an annulment while Ste is in a coma because he's too much of a coward to do it like a man.
First of all, who wouldn't want Ste all to themselves?? Second of all, Doug really hasn't ever had Ste all to himself. Around every corner ..... *BAM* Brendan.
I know right, now, his intention is actually genuine in the sense, he just doesn't want o lose Ste without telling him how he feels but same time he is thinks its for the best to let Ste go to be happy. :|
Doug loves the kids. I think it's just that Ste did not involve him in the decision. He does take him for granted, I agree. Also I guess after the wedding Doug was hoping for alone honeymoon time. But I think it's mainly because of feeling left out when Amy & Kids (& Brendan) are higher priorities. i would be insecure to date a single parent. A big part of me would be jealous (I don't think Doug is) & I would be selfish because I want alone time with him.
I know you're kidding without your telling me. But I've had other viewers seriously take me to task for trying to apply sense or logic to soap plots or for complaining about lack of realism in other soaps. In the case at hand, the pairings make sense in that Tony & Cindy and Ste & Doug have been couples for a while now. It's just that apparently Cindy loves Rhys (not sure why) but wants Tony's money, while Ste & Doug are marrying out of their mutual insecurity & avoidance of their real problems.
and it's not just a double wedding, the show is having another couple ready to marry that for now don't have a link with brendan/ste/doug story and guess what? they are teens and also their marriage is a nonsense!
I don't understand all the hate on Doug! Before Stug, I loved both Ste and Doug, and I still do, but I can see that they have tons of problems and definitely don't seem ready to get married. And maybe Brendan *has* changed and is ready for a serious relationship, and would always love to have toddlers stay with him for six months...But I think Doug has been completely reasonable in all of this and deserves a great guy, too.
I read a few comments saying or wishing Doug's death, please don't let that happen. I like Doug with or without Ste, I like him, I also like Brendan but it's looks like he always remember that he loves Ste when he's with someone else.
Does anybody still like Doug, cause I can't possibly see why? He is such a baby and all he does is whine and pout. In his heart he wants Ste all to himself and doesn't really want the kids around. I use to think he was good for Ste, at least temporarily. Ste needed a break from Brendan but it is now time for that break to be OVER!
I agree. If you want someone, you should fight for them. But how does Brendan do that without hurting Ste? In the other subplot should Rhys tell Cindy that Tony is going to tell Jacqui if he doesn't leave town by tomorrow?
Aw my heart. Brendan is gonna do the non-Brendan thing which is to let Ste get married to Doug. Selfless love. Like someond said, if you love somebody let them go and if they come back to you it's meant to be. And my heart will continue to break, but hopefully Ste will see that and know that Brendan has finally changed. The old Brendan would do anything to bust this wide open....
I am so lost. Where the hell is this clip from? It's not from Fridays episode (at least not in the one on 4oD), it's not on Omnibus and not in Later. So where the hell is it from?
Since Tony knows about Cindy and Rhys, he probly pulls out of the joint wedding- then that means Doug and Ste can't get married either >:) and then I think Brendan some how brings Ste back to ireland with him because I saw loads of pictures of them in Dublin *-*
same here, I don't want BB to interfere, I don't think he will though as much as he wants to tell Ste how he feels I think he will let him go. Doug, saying "taking for granted" is very off putting, like you said kids comes with the package and they will show up unexpected once and awhile, thats wat happens with a joint custody so to speak, he marrying for the long haul not just Ste. it really making him off putting, he seems to just want Ste so Brendan can't get him lol but I get it.
I didn't call you dirty names, because I don't do that & you don't deserve it. As I said, I know you meant well. So the only thing that could be taken as rude about my comment is that I posted my request here rather than send you private email. But you didn't post your spoiler in private email. So I chose to post my request here, too. Thanks for removing the comment. If you want to remove your complaint that I was rude, I'll be happy to remove this comment & also the complaint about the spoiler.
Doug is starting to piss me off. Behaving like an insecure little wuzz can only lead to a disastrous ending with Ste. You better wise Doug or you will lose Ste for ever.
I think Tony will marry Cindy no matter what. He seems to be okay to marry her even after finding out about her affair, I think he is chump and his time on the show needs to come to an end. Almost every girl he has been with that I remember has cheated..
I agree, I think Cheryl can be so insensitive to her brother. I mean, if you going to organizing it and BB is helping you could show some compassion knowing your brother still love this man who he is helping YOU to get the stuff ready. I get what BB is capable of but some compassion wouldn't hurt :\
