You might like to try this. Add a capacitor across the + and - of each rectifier. Good sized capacitors Holding the peeks of all three through a full half cycle and wired in serries will get far higher total voltage under light to medium loads.

Seems like a lot of work when you could have gotten the same voltage from just the main power lug at 6k rpm no need to change all that maybe it’s just your alternator tho! Just get an older one it will produce 37vdc out the main power lug

Positives and negatives should all be joined together... just like in the actual alternator rectifier. and alternators will make 100+ volts without the regulator, if you spin it fast enough. Nothing special going on here.

Pretty easy to follow. I'll probably use 5 bridge rectifiers to provide 60 volts of electricity. I'm trying to charge my EcoFlow Delta 2 through the MPPT Controller, it can accept 11-60 volts but has a current limit of 15 amps. I want to make an AC Generator with a 53cc 4-stroke engine attached to an automotive alternator to provide somewhere between 400-800 watts of electricity, ideally without going past the 15A current limit of the power station. However, I'm trying to decide which would incur the least amount of losses: a) AC from the Alternator to the on-board AC charger of the Delta 2 b) AC from the Alternator to 5 bridged rectifiers (in series) to the on-board MPPT controller With AC I have some options though. I could use a transformer to increase or decrease AC output as I please, then I could use commercial off the shelf switched mode power supplies to provide DC current to the MPPT Controller. Though AC to DC through bridged rectifiers would simplify circuitry, connections, and packaging, however, may not be the most efficient option.

You turned the alternator into a generator. The other motor is turning the pulley and your exciting the brushes with the battery. So you've done all that to run a 12 watt car light. So ridiculous. The more I see your videos the more irritated I get.

I have many different questions but I'll start with although he was making 36 volts what was the amperage coming off? Then since the amperage of that was quite low I'm sure probably 20 amperes how can you double the amperage coming off and still keep the voltage the same?....... Also have questions about the motor that's turning the alternators what are the horsepower rating on that the RPM range what was he spinning the alternator at? But all in all a very good video I'm actually using it for an application that will power a camper trailer

INFORMATION. this is a WONKY alternator modification.!!! in part, because of the way the rectifiers are interconnected. it is probable that the rectifiers will rapidly be Destroyed, if/when a Nominal amount of CURRENT is flowing.!!!! this does Not happen when voltage is being measured.!!! neither is it present when current is measured via clamp meter.!!! googletranslate
