Found a box of 38 short colt in my stash last week. Going to load them and see how the shoot. If i like them i will cut down a few 38 specials. I do not throw brass away. I keep everything to try to recycle in a different way. Hope you are doing well.
Hey, miss seeing you out there. How's that weather? Getting plenty of rain? We can use some over here. Stay well my friend. Hope to hear from you soon.
You heard about our ionic river coming from hawaii 2 storms merged together we've been wet for over a straight week my new job keeps me busy any the weather is holding me back a bit we've had record floods and deaths in peoples stranded cars land slides abandoned vehicles on the highways its a mess here but san jose is still holding on.
@@Ford360CID Watched it on the news tonight. Judging my the news, the whole darn state is flooded and washing away. Ok, just making sure you're ok. Stay dry.
@@TSGEnt im already home and the office manager kept texting me about the facility i told him that we have no colateral damage as of yet but i made it home safely even though hwy 87 was a river and my BMW was skimming on top of all that water so kept my speed down to 45-50 MPH was ironic is that there were no reports of crime in over a week.thank4 your support my brother and god speed to you and your.
I was inspired by your short colt project I cut my cases the same length and use 38 S&W load data I am using a Lee 38 special factory crimp die I unscrewed the top and dropped a 1/4 inch drive socket in as a spacer works great
You are to be congratulated on your tenacity to produce your Short Colt rounds. You can also make rounds for the Japanese 9X22mmR that go in the Type 26 revolver. I used 38 S&W brass that had to have the rim thinned down but that was all. I was one of my first custom reloading projects.
Lawrence you obviously have the same knowledge with this caliber which is quite admirable and you are correct, i remember reading on a person whom owned a type 26 but didn't have a source of ammo or components and the trimming of the 38 S&W brass base was the ticket into a correct shell casing for that caliber outstanding Lawrence this is how we learn from each other.
i was thinking on the same lines as you, i believe the shorter case will give short barrel derringers more accuracy and velocity and i would recommend it shortening the 45 long colt to a short rimmed 45 acp would do the same.
10 a.m. its been pretty cloudy and we've had off and on rain, Brother i've been couped up for a week now and i just had to do some garage work...being sick with no activity makes you feel like your waiting to die so i'd rather die doing what i love...lol thanks 4 stopping by.
@@Ford360CID Garage door was closed. Must have been a chilly morning then. Wow an early riser too! it's about 4:45a your time when I got this! Best to you.
@@TSGEnt thank you brother always a pleasure to hear from you..so we finally got some much needed rain but as always we're still in drought conditions.
