Oh I'm so glad you did this. I wasn't aware of it until now, searching youtube after receiving the 3D coat newsletter. It's using a process I learn best from. Doing a whole project rather than having a set of unconnected steps trying to work out how to bring them all together myself.

This is such a powerful program and so easy to use. Ive used mudbox, blender, and check out zbrush and man this is it. Zbrush is a joke. Price is outrageous and the loops you have to jump thru to do shit are very tedious. 3D Coat lets you do everything ive always wanted , that zbrush does not. The level of detail is just as good if not better than Zbrush. By the time you get done spending all your money and time trying to do one tedious thing in zbrush you could have already turned out a solid model in 3D COAT. Get 3d Coat if you havent and you dont want to blow a spring fucking with Zbrush.

Nice method: "Scrape" + "Move" on flat surfaces.

how do you asses scale in 3d coat when staring out? like how do you decide what size to make the thing?
