None of this shit works for me the way shown. I cant even draw the curves and have it 1 piece. No matter what I try to do, its split in half and goes off all janked. Great tutorial, if it actually worked.
Nothing I do, that you are showing, works they way you show it. I cant make the freeform cube do what you did, as Mine has way more points that yours, and when I try to reset it back to a cube to try again, it wont return to a cube (which is retarded AF). The only way to reset the freeform cube is to close the software?!? This is the most infuriating program I have ever tried to learn. The best part, 3DCoat loves to claim its beginner friendly and great for kids to start off with. Fantastic, so I'm just a hopeless pile of worthless shit than. Thanks 3DCoat. You ask them for ACTUAL beginner tutorials, and they respond "There are lots, just look for sculpting tutorials" Ya, fantastic... Fuck this shit!
I claimed all three courses the day this video came out and now almost 2000 days later I still haven't finished either one of them but it's nice to see that you've made it
Its so beyond sad to me that this AWESOME Tutorial has been out for 6 years, and nobody has commented on most of it, hell it was hard to even FIND due to the "Algorithm" but if this was a BLENDER Tutorial, suddenly it'd be in my face on my dashboard DAILY.
It seems that the Cracks and Wrinkles alpha set is no longer available following your link. Do you know of an updated location where I can get it from? It's a really good set. Better than the ones I've been working with.
„“,needs a condition (!), which decides how much of the material will be applied to what kind of surfaces (concave, convex etc.) next „“ which gives the sharpness of the conditional mask and "", which decides how far from the edges the material fades away.
When I start 3d coat I get a sphere then I create a primitive but the primitive is always behind the sphere How can I make it be in front or on top Thank you
Do you have to apply the symetry or something at the end? I exported as an obj and only half of it was there even though I had symetry dsiplayed in 3D-Coat
Your tutorials are very helpful, but I have a question. In the end of Part 16 your "UV Preview" is empty, but at the start of Part 17 you have something in "UV Preview". I tried to make an AUTOPO, but after that I see nothing inside "UV Preview". Have I missed a step in the workflow?
Of fucking course, i find a tutorial by someone who speaks clearly without being a mumbling non native english speaker, and its 6 mother fucking years outdated. Why in gods name did i buy this software. I could have just pirated it. Son of a bitch.
"when ever I get to this stage (painting) in the texture editor there are no uvs showing up, just nothing, its a grey canvas with nothing in it, even when I fill the object with color or a material, the editor remains unchanged" yeah this happens to me, too. This tutorial seems to be out of date? It's like the UV map is not actually being applied or transferred to the paint room or something. I can't figure it out. It's beyond frustrating.
If anyone's having trouble with the faces not being interactive in edit mode to bridge the cubes together, just do the top like he does in the tutorial, hide/delete all the duplicated cubes on the bottom (from part one), then duplicate the top and drag it down to the bottom, then you can bridge the gaps with cubes that arn't a dumb solid (like its stuck in object mode).
Awesome Tutorial! Would be great if you can share fast-paced detailed videos to prototype products like (ex. Radios, mics, tvs, ...) just for the sake of learning the process. Some people learn that way. Appreciate your hard-work! Btw, is there any way to mirror a curve or a shape to avoid making shapes twice?
