Showing different prototyping stages of my 3d-printed pocket operator case and assembly of the case ordered from shapeways printing service.

All improvements mentioned in the video (and some more) have been implemented and are now available in the shapeways shop:
1. Tighter fit of the PCB in the front-plate
2. Stiffer side walls of the front-plate
3. More clearance between light guides and buttons
4. Back-plate modified for tighter fit, easier bending, better locking
5. Added stubs to the ends of the light guides for easier assembly
6. Button diameter and guide width modified for less wiggling
7. Deeper retention slots to be less dependent on material/printing accuracy

How much would I pay for having one complete case printed? Would it be more than actually buying a brand case?

Hey, I'm totally new to 3d printing and it will be my first project. Is it possible to add name of the PO on the top, just like you make on the video, on the slicing software? On the Thingiverse you uploaded only the .std and .stl files. I'd love to have a "PO-33 ガイド" on the top. Do I need .CAD files to add that?

You can alter an stl file using tinkercad for free online! They have a font you can use to add letters to the design.

Why not cover the batteries with the backplate as well? Do it and I'll buy a couple

+yayayaokoksure There is also a backplate available which covers the batteries. It has a bulge where the batteries are located, so the case sits at a slight angle when put on a flat surface. You can see a rendering if you follow the shapeways link, it's called "PO case closed back". Making the backplate flat and still covering the batteries would have made the whole case a bit too thick.

Hi, the cases can be ordered to be printed at shapeways printing service: www.shapeways.com/shops/cdb - it's not cheap but the prints are very high quality and multiple colors are available. The DIY version can be downloaded for free from thingiverse, link is in the description.
