Use your 3D printer to make templates for woodworking. From inlay work to patterns for jigs, fixtures and parts, the 3D printer can take your CAD designed parts from computer to wood components simply. This is more of an exploration of what can be versus a specific project. I hope is sparks your creativity.
Thanks for watching and I wish you luck in all of your projects.
More of my projects are on my channel and on my website at www.theraven.us

I enjoyed your video, James. Interesting to see how other woodworkers utilize new technology in an ‘old’ craft! I purchased two printers a month ago and am loving the new opportunities to explore!

Nice to see another video! I have an Ender 3 that really doesn't get enough use. I do print hose connectors and such on it. And I use it to print models of the furniture I make. It is a good way to see if the proportions are right. I find it better than just the 3D drawing. I use Fusion 360 but it has a really steep learning curve compared to Sketchup. It is a more powerful tool tough. Using 3D prints as templates is something I never thought about, and definitely will explore more in the future. Thanks for the tip ;-) Cheers.

You are right about Fusion. Though the initial learning is rough, the ability to draw on any face is a step in the right direction and I have to use fusion for anything complex.

@@Blueridgedog Do you know if they still do the small business license? I only seem to be able to get the free one, and that one doesn't allow you to export drawings to .pdf. And 60 usd a month for a full license is too steep at this point.

@@NomadMakes In the same boat as I have to use the free one (Fusion and Sketchup). For sketchup, I still use the 2017 Make version as that was the last release before going to the web based product.

Thanks for the informative video. I can't seem to find a source for the double sided tape. Could you please provide a link? Thanks.
