Did you hear the clicking sound when putting parts together? I call this - The beauty of 3D printing. You own a small box that can produce a final product with all perfect parts fitting together. This is just awesome, good job.

It just dawned on me that you might not know the youtube channel AVE. The guy has great content, but, says the stupidest things. Anything that can be said clearly in simple words, he conflusticates it with made up works, the frequently make no sense.

This could be quite useful if it had significantly higher torque. 43K RPM is not needed for most applications. Why not make a geared down version, a single stage planatary gearbox with output of 10K RPM and 4x torque

@quillmaurer6563

I would think the same affect could be achieved much more simply with a larger diameter turbine. Similar turbine blade speed and force, but lower RPM and more torque. Would make it more bulky, but would be a simpler and more reliable solution than gearing at such high RPM.

You might get slightly higher speeds if you acetone smooth the interior and the turbines, since the lines left over from 3d printing can cause considerable turbulence. :3

Looks like it has enough inertia to be useful, though. It'd be interesting to see the same sort of thing but with a big chunk of steel to add inertia, so you could get a reasonably usable burst of torque for quick operations.

As far as i'm concerned when I'm using my dremels, they are NOT torque tools, but SPEED tools. A few guys I know use the disc cutter and go gung ho into material using it like a die grinder instead of a precision instrument. The result is often broken discs. Regardless my dremel is electric so it has more torque than the pneumatic versions.

One plus of the design is that you won’t need a shop vac: it vacuums up all the particulates it creates. This does, however, mean that you will have to take it apart to clean every so often. At least that’s just a left rotation away.

The method you used gets only rotation but does not get torque. For a air motor to have force it needs to compress the air, the pressure creates torque.

Add a extension to the inlet shroud may be 1/3 of the outside Diameter, and tall enough to take in the distance to excede your cutter or sanding barrel, or carbide bur. Give it a helical design and it should catch a lot more debris and go directly into the vacume cleaner.
