I think that the devine beasts from BOTW just dont stack up to the dungeons from other games. They have little to no interesting ahtmosphere, they all look the same, there is basically no challenge, and the puzzles are way to easy and disconnected from eachother. I hope that BOTW 2 has a similar open world feel, with more traditional dungeons. Although if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be Vah Naboris simply because it is slightly more complex then the others.

in Snowhead Temple you can go Deku and void on the lava at the bottom to get back up to where you were without having to climb all the way back up.

Twilight Princess is my favourite zelda game by far, and its nice to see a fellow snowpeak ruins appreciater! Arbiter's grounds is my favourites dungeon, with snowpeak as a close second, this tier list reflects my personal views quite accurately too funny enough, except City in the sky and temple of time, idk why but those 4 middle dungeons of Twilight Princess i just love unconditionally 🤣

The great bay temple wouldn’t be as bad if there wasn’t a time limit.

Your story about the Great Bay first room made me realize how for a casual the dungeon is genuine torture. Love the temple, but it's complex.

I feel like I may be the only person who actually likes Forsaken Fortress...and even like stealth aspects in Zelda I do actually enjoy a bit.

Great list, man. Mine is quite similar. I tend to have the Ocarina and Twilight Princess dungeons the highest..

Stone Tower, and Ancient Cistern are my favorite.

My fav dungeon of all time is Snowpeak. In second place is the Palace Of Winds( I can't remember its name.).

Im happy the water temple got some love. Its such a cool dungeon that doesnt get any love because the iron boots are tedious. it does get more fun the more you replay it. Im glad you made that point.

Great Bay Temple was one of the most stressful moments in any Zelda, but once you get a handle on the Zora swimming mechanics, it becomes my favorite in the entire series. The stray fairies are what really drive me insane, not the navigation/puzzles itself.

Great Bay temple is my favorite. It's the most challenging temple I have played and playing as Zora Link is sensational.

Sky Keep as C Tier is a questionable opinion

Really good list. The only thing that tripped me up was Hyrule Castle in BOTW…”not much to it”? It’s one of the largest dungeons in LoZ history geometrically speaking, and there’s so many nooks and crannies to explore and untold treasures to plunder, not the least of which is the Hylian Shield itself guarded by a Stalnox. I suggest you explore it a bit more…personally, I don’t see it being any less than a solid A tier

I would have just put all of the divine beasts d tier, or lower, they are little 10 -15 minute simple side puzzles with the same boss. They just cannot compete with any 2d or 3d dungeon in the series.

Overall great list, the only thing I would personally change is the deku tree otherwise amazing taste!

You severely underrate wind water dungeons

For me the forest temple was always less of a forest temple but instead a temple in a forest. It always presented as more a mini shadow temple based on its enemies and atmosphere. Haunted mansion just doesnt give me forest vibes.

I got stopped/suck at the great bay temple as 10 year old. So I played the same days over and over and side missions for like 5 years. Then finally I finished it and did the rest of the game in a week. Playing those 3 days over and over again for like 5 years really made the game stick with me forever.

I also dred the great bay temple. That time limit, plus the currents, plus the boss make it very stressful. But I agree about the the stone tower temple and forest temple being S tier dungeons. I like sand ship and ancient cistern too I might put them just below the N64 dungeons. And thank you for not trashing the water temple. It gets so much unfair criticism. It's actually a really good dungeon, one of the best.

My S tiers: Forest Temple, Stone Tower Temple, Arbiters Grounds, Ancient Cistern, sandship. Also, while I agree that majoras mask main dungeons were lacking (minus stone tower), I really enjoyed ikana castle and the pirate fortress. Best mini-dungeons of the series

Twilight Princess is STACKED on dungeons. Forest temple is pretty trash, temple of time is so-so. Everything else is fantastic. Even on this list, it has what, an S and 3 A's? And that's with my favorite dungeon of the game, City in the Sky, down in B tier. I'm hoping BotW2 brings back serious dungeons, and models them in the style of TP. Devs have already said the game will be pretty dark like TP and MM. I'm hopeful.

The N64 Iron-Boots in the Water Temple (OoT) is annoying However they solved problem in Majora’s Mask in 2000. I think most people don’t realize that the one gets the sinking mechanism built in to the Zora mask. One simple click for sink one for floating. Solved way before OoT3D👍🏻

Dodongos cavern is probably my favorite out of the child starter dungeons

Forest Temple is my absolute favorite. Snowpeak is good, but Forest Temple to me has always edged it out. Though as a whole, TP does win in overall dungeon design with me

Huge respect for being so honest about fanboy game windwaker. The dungeons were mediocre and I also liked the windtemple most. Many people hate it. But I cannot agree on snowhead temple. Its just an A for me. But your list is still great though :)

The fact that BoTW had (in my opinion) pretty awful main dungeons, lame bosses, and a less-than-wonderful story and yet STILL managed to be one of the best games ever made, speaks to how incredible the overworld and gameplay were

I feel like your too harsh on Skyview but then again you did not enjoy it so that's fair. I thinkthe puzzles arent great at all but the atmosphere, music and aesthetic do make it much better for me. Like I prefer Skyview to TP's Forest Temple.

Great bay is the reason I haven't replayed majora's mask in so long. That area is a slog

Glad you don’t include bosses in your rankings. That always irks me when people do. They’re their own separate category. They shouldn’t lower or raise a dungeons quality

Snowpeak is easily the best place to explore in any Zelda game. The structure and story. The boss music, and the ending cutscene are only a few things that make it the best.

Man I hate the wind dungeon in wind waker. I always dread playing it

I like many from OOT, TP are very solid, Skyward Sword then has masterpieces with Majora's Mask. Not surprised with BOTW, before it was Wind Waker with the weakest dungeons but Breath of The Wild has by far overall the worst dungeon design in the series (no way that some people think that this game is the best Zelda game so they ignore such a big flaws like this one).

Spirit temple is s tier

Good list dude, I think Shadow Temple is an S though.

The hands chasing me in the twilight realm is why i never beat the game. That section was so clunky and annoying that i gave up right before the finale and its been years since.

My ranking of them (Game by Game) OOT: 1. (Tie) Fire Temple/Spirit Temple, I love both of them. Spirit is unique and the puzzles are amazing, while Fire Temple has amazing design, though I wish it were longer. 2. Forest Temple, I love the idea and the puzzle design is just mwah. 3. Shadow Temple, it's linear, and I like the part before it, but I can't rank it higher. 4. Dodongos Cavern, it isn't amazing, but its easily the best of the child dungeons. I like some of the puzzles aswell. 5. Deku Tree, amazing tutorial but of course its a tutorial so can't be amazing. 6. Jabu Jabu, just annoying, Ruto is a female dog, and the puzzles are too easy. 7. Water Temple. You know why. 8. Ice Cavern. I hate this place. Its so annoying and fuck the ice keese. Majoras Mask: 1. Stone Tower Temple, it is simply amazing and its personally my favorite 3D dungeon. 2. Snowfall, I love the design and I REALLY like the puzzles. 3. Wood[fall?] Temple, its better than the Deku Tree by far and its just good. 4. Great Bay, honestly its just too frustrating. It has better design than the water temple but I still don't like it. Botw: 1. Vah Medoh, same reasoning as the video. 2. Vah Rudania, its just meh. Nothing to really say 3. Vah Ruta, I like it but its super easy. 4. Vah Naboris, its too difficult lol I forgot half the dungeons in TP and I haven't beat SS.

Best - Forest Temple OOT worst Great Bay Temple MM.

I will say, I dont enjoy the moments where you jump around between different games then go back to earlier games. It really breaks up the flow of the video, and later games don't end up having their dungeons clumped together so it feels like you spent less time on that game. If you like mixing things up so that we don't retrace past videos, maybe order everything alphabetically? I feel like that could be beneficial and less discriminatory to later Zelda games!

Skyward swords dungeons are such a binary. They’re either really good or plain awful.
