Thank you! The Array modifier seems one of the better additions to Max of late, it's very powerful!

Are you pressing any button (ctr/alt or shift) while dragging the small number of decimals? Talking about when you tweak the chamfer amount.

Alt slows down a spinner Ctrl speeds it up.

How did you curve the spine of the book by just dragging the vertex? I keep getting straight edges instead of curved edges. Looks like I need to learn the basics first :(

Make sure the vert is not set to linear, smooth should work well, and possibly turn off optimize.
