I have had that in the plans for a long time. I should have just done the tundra brakes while the truck was on the chopping block. Interestingly enough, Sky's Offroad Design just started making a bracket to make mounting the tundra brakes much easier on a toyota solid axle. So that is the route that looks the best to me. www.skysoffroaddesign.com/collections/toyota-axle-differential/products/toyota-axle-widening-tundra-brake-swap
What was you exact specs for alignment? I just got a set of tuff country UPAs and my 4Runner drives horrible because the alignment doesn’t know what specs to adjust to.
Yes they are. The 4Runner belongs to my brother. But, he has been very happy with them. I believe he ordered them off of Amazon for close to 650 to the door. Pretty good deal even if they don't get as many miles as a more premium tire.
It went great. Having the new upper control arm allows for more adjustment, helping get the alignment back within spec. Truck drives even better now. My brother is very happy with it. Great hunting truck, that handles even better on the street.
No, adding an aftermarket upper control arm allows enough adjustment to get the alignment back within spec. It also allows more room so that the control arm no longer makes contact with the coil spring on suspension extension.
