Everytime I tap that part that you replaced, the light comes on for a while then turns off but only when I tap that part. You think it needs to be replaced?
Sounds like the soldered connection to the bulb has degraded to the point that it will have contact sometimes and sometimes not. Probably should replace it, though you might be able to fix yours by taking it apart and adding a bit more solder. This is not a bad job but not easy by any means
