Men , o had a 90 Cressida that was 7m auto ,then 7m manual w58 .then 7mgte / r 154 . Loved it till it rotten out from the rear suspension. Miss everything for her. I swapped the 7mgte / r 154 to a 92 volvo 240 wagon. Still working the glitches. Your headlights are Jdms. Nice to see someone keeps the spirit. I might ,depending on budget swap TO a 1 uz. Take care and nice builds!!!!
I like how you think, Yota V8 swap tugs my heart strings. Love that Cressida classy. Keep all parts Toyota as much as possible even the brake booster stays loyal.💯👍🏻
I have a 1981 corolla and I been thinking of swapping out the 5mge swap I have in it and putting a 1uz vvti. You got any write ups on doing the electronics of it ? I'm very familiar with working on the engine but the wiring has me not wanting to do the swap lol.
I'm doing a 2uz swap in my 87 mk3 supra but I need a pan that fits, motor mounts and a 3uz intake, oh and sc400 manifolds. Either that or LS swap it lol
1uz from a LS400 because it has the front sump oil pan you need. You will need the oem exhaust manifolds from the sc400. The exhaust manifolds from the other chassis are too wide.
@@yotarip thanks, Ive heard people say they used older toyota pickup boosters upside down but still had to hammer in a little ding for clearance did you have any issues with that using the 96 tacoma booster?
Extreme luck. There was a Japanese auto dismantler selling parts on ebay years ago. The seller was selling these bumper for $300 SHIPPED from Japan. Even shipped the bumper express and got it in 4 days! I wish I had purchased the rear bumper when I had the chance but I did get the JDM X8 headlights with built in fogs.
How's the 3uz engine with the 1uz ECU and harness holding up? I mean have you had any issues with the 3uz performance so far in this setup? And how long have you ran on this setup? Thanks.
Orlando Muñiz thanks man. The hilux is mostly good. I found a leak around the windshield. I think I need to do some rust repair around the window channel again.
@@yotarip awe man that sucks, your build wants me to get another pickup and stick a 3uz in it. My yota right now has supercharged 5vz that i swapped last year. Keep up the good work thou!
I wish someone would write a detailed walkthrough. I'm working on a 3uz for an IS300. If you have any useful hints, feel free to hit me up on Facebook.
Yes. The Supra has a GS400 ecu that has a immobilzer bypass circuit installed by All4swap.ru .The cressida is using the original immobilizer circuits like what I show in one of my other videos.
No. You do not need to cut the firewall at all. It fits perfectly. I am using the Cressida driveshaft. The transmission is an automatic transmission from a 2001 IS300. The Cressida driveshaft fits.
