4/9/24 Open Board Meeting: Proposals on Firm and Engagement Metrics, Firm Reporting 

The PCAOB held an open meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. ET. At the meeting, the Board considered the following:
Firm and engagement metrics proposal: The Board considered issuing for public comment a proposal that would require certain PCAOB-registered public accounting firms to publicly report specified metrics relating to some of their audit engagements and their audit practices.
Firm reporting proposal: The Board considered issuing for public comment a proposal to amend PCAOB annual and special reporting requirements to facilitate the disclosure of more complete, standardized, and timely information by registered public accounting firms.
