(Click 1080HD) Montreal Jazz Festival 2006. 4 BS&T SONGS:
00:10 And When I Die
04:43 God Bless The Child
12:30 You've Made Me So Very Happy
18:31 Hi De Ho
A full HD 1080p (12517kbps) rip from the commercially available standard definition DVD. (Only HD uploads are automatically allocated better sound [over and above mp3] by RU-vid). Any BS&T fans might like to check out my upload of - the actual - BS&T. It's from 1980 (so David is only 38 instead of 64) and whilst it isn't as glossy as this one, I find it is musically far better. See what you think, it's only a quarter-hour, an edit of the hits.

Great vocalist. I always felt that he and Terry Kath had the same perfect timbre voices, for fronting those forerunner, dynamic, horn bands. What would the late 60s and 70s have been without these guys? Memories for a lifetime, and forever grateful for what they gave. Musically at least, the world is a much better place because of them and their music.

Yes. And Blood, Sweat & Tears and Chicago have another link, the producer James William Guercio. Guercio produced Chicago's first 11 albums and produced BS&T from their 2nd album on until, well, I'm not sure how long he went on with BS&T.
@bustabass9025
@bustabass9025 Год назад
@@paulvsislamonazism9534 Didn't know that. I knew about his early connection with Chicago, but the BS&T relationship escaped me. However, it certainly explains a lot about the proliferation of horn band music coming out during that time, as far as what those two pioneering ensembles were doing. As an old trombone player in high school during the 60s, I was glad to see my instrument since third grade get some rock music love.

@@elenajon001 No, to everyone without compromised hearing. I'm old enough to remember the 70's when ENDLESS people would say, "Did you hear that great song from BST?"... only to then find out it wasn't them. There was only radio at the time, so there was no way to know who was singing it, since most DJs did not announce every song they played. If you listen to the studio version of Vehicle even today, right away anyone would think it's BST

One of my all-time favorite Rock bands. This group really got me into Jazz. Love me some Blood Sweat and Tears. Good to see that they still sound as excellent as they did in the 60's. Legendary.

Im so glad I found this! I have loved BS&T for decades. What a very pleasant surprise to see DCT sounding like his self and looking like a million bux.

Excellent performance! DCT---YOU HAVE AGED VERY WELL, SIR! God Bless the late Laura Nyro, who composed so many of the pop songs of that era.
