The fact that Lin is faster than everyone in the snow because his car is just that bad in the dry is one of the funniest things I’ve seen for a while 😂😂😂😂
I really love seeing the Bens encouraging Luke, It’s really a heartwarming feeling getting your buddies to come out to the race track and experience it them selves, that in itself is a win just having everyone growing in a group. Would love to see more content like this, its 1000% relatable and represents the purest form of friendship, brotherhood and growth in the car community (which could be a very toxic place that may be discouraging to new comers). Keep it up guys !!!
"Never meet your role model" can't be further from the truth for the Bens. It was awesome talking with them, listening to them coach Luke (tried to steal of their advice for myself too) was great. They had as much if not more excitement as Luke when he came back to the pits. Its really awesome to meet the people behind the characters that weekend.
I love how its just always in a shot, silent. Waiting. The shot in the rain where the mr2 is covered, the civic is off. The fit? Wide awake, lights on.
there is a touge course that many people compete in, hosted by the DK himself. And guess what was one of the fastest car to ever go there period: an "underpowered" MR2 spider (with STOCK parts/ power/ mostly everything), just fine tuned (and btw some cars broughts 600 hps and crazy mods). So if sorted, you bet it's gonna rip, one of the best handling cars if fine tuned
Yo Bens - I just have to say I love the fact that you guys are producing high-quality automotive 'tuning and modding' videos that actually serve a purpose and are immediately put to use on a real track and race. Not some modding just for modding's sake. LOVED the video going over the chassis and suspension on the Civic in prep for wheel-to-wheel racing. Not the sexiest of mods but spot-on practical, and I was glued to the screen the whole time. Good stuff guys! Keep up the killer content
Yeah, definitely takes a talented driver to handle an MR2. Civics are a top choice for high schoolers because of how easy they are to drive. I even had one.
1) I had a shit ton of fun watching you guys at this event. For the other viewers who haven't seen the gang IRL, they're not putting on an act. They're out for a good time. 2) the transition to Luke was amazing. Everyone loves Luke.
This episode, was so much fun! Ben in that tracksuit, was hilarious. Him beating Ben in the wet because his car is so bad in dry conditions, hilarious. I'd like to see more mr2 content.
This might be my favorite G&G video yet. Luke having such a fun time truly is the best, and I love that we are seeing someone going through from the bottom up. Get it buddy!
Again, love just how genuine and raw Luke was about his track sessions and the compassion that Ben showed towards Luke on guiding him. Need more Evo content 9
I'm the white C6 in a few of the clips with Luke and was 2 spots over from his pit/paddock spot. Super cool guy, super genuine. Hearing the excitement in his voice after each session was endearing and a joy to see.
Thanks for showcasing the instructor. As you advance through HPDE's you'll find yourself recruited to instruct or wanting to help your friend in the passenger seat. It's incredibly rewarding to introduce someone to the hobby. From my experience it's the most rewarding thing to be present and to contribute to a student's success.
You guys should use in-car comms while on track, it'd be hilarious to hear your live commentary smack talking each other! Awesome episode and Ben Lin was LOL
i appreciate a beautiful car, or a super exotic car, all shiny, with the owner standing beside it beaming, in line with many others next to it. but NOTHING is like building a car and taking it to a track day and testing both the car's limit and your skill. VIR is a great venue with great staff, so i can only imagine how that weekend was!
It would be sick to see a comparison between the two once the MR2 is sorted and had some work done to it, or between their s2k and mr2 (with an alignment)
That Time Trial tour at VIR last month was the most intense (and humbling) experience I’ve had in my entire life. It was my first time ever driving on a track, competitively nonetheless (I was in the gray Fiesta ST, #69 in the blue group) Your time attack videos is what inspired me to go to the track and I look forward to working on improve my driving skills and track etiquette.
When you are running more hp than stock on the spyder, the rear tyres need to be wider than the ones on the front will make a big difference trust me ;)
Love this. My second track day was at VIR. Very intimidating to be at such a high level track when you’re starting out. Great to see y’all supporting each other.
As much as I enjoyed your road tip video, the track/motorsport content is a brilliant. I look forward to seeing how both of these cars develop. Especially the MR2 think this chassis has great potential The crazy alignment on the MR2 with extra toe angle, probably had more slip angle generate heat and more wet grip
Getting the timid kid on track and shedding his fears was the NICEST THING IVE SEEN ON RU-vid...THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME HOPE IN THE NXT GENERATION OF GEAR HEADS AND MEN IN AMERICA...👍🇺🇸💪
I love this channel, feels like I’m watching my favourite series, that I just have to wait a week for and not a whole year after binging all the other episodes ♥️♥️
Great! Video that rain session was nuts! Man ! Also so happy to see that fit getting some track time. I know he will be Ready soon for some Grid life events 🙌
heading to VIR this weekend and this schizophrenic weather lately has me a little worried xD finally getting to see Luke at the track is awesome!! now it's a trio :)
Epic video guys! It was awesome! It is really nice to see Luke get some seat time,he seems to be progressing really well, please keep them coming fellas
Can one come spectate these at VIR? I live about 25 mins away from there, but have bever been (to any local track day actuslly), and would love to see one of these sessions.
