You are so right I need to meal prep more because sometime I have such a hard time thinking about what to eat. Sometimes I give up and eat something quick or something ordered.
Yes. I would love to see a morning routine. I've tried waking up early but mornings aren't really my thing and I've just never tried movement at night all that much!!
So happy I found your channel, I have started working out with dumbbells and not being afraid of them... Though I am scared that I am making my neck pain and posture worse..could you make a workout/show excersices that are effective and you can do at home for good posture ? Strengthening the right muscles for a healthy posture Sitting so much in Quaratine has a big bad effect
*cries in third shift* Most things third shifters can apply. Anything involving circadian rhythm and sunlight when waking up is so frustrating because I just know it's not going to work. But omg yes yes yes. I have an office job and working out before bed helps me sleep so much better!! Also I love your videos, you really helped me feel more motivated to work out.
@@skyflwrblueberry whenever I watch anything about sleep and how to get the best most beneficial sleep, it's like welllll I can't. 🤷🏼♀️ I do a lot to try helping though, like sticking to non blue light, making my room as dark as possible, having a routine etc. But whenever I flip my schedule to normal people hours on vacation oh my god I sleep so well and so easily😭
Abby you are the best! I love how everything you talk about is backed up by science. Not many fitness "influencers" these days slap us with facts like this!! You and Natacha Oceane are really the only two fitness people that I take advice from :D Keep it up
One reason I like the winter months is because I love the nighttime so much and the fact that I can go to sleep early but also enjoy at least a few hours of night. If my schedule wasn't an issue, I know I'd barely see the light of day. I know that's probably not the healthiest decision though.
I'm so excited for the new Team28 challenge! I have been trying so hard to implement a good night time routine, but you're really calling me out with the doom scrolling lol. Im doing my best though! I would LOVE to see your morning routine and especially your night time routine!

Abby I am SO HOOKED on your full body fit guides!!! I did the first one and now doing the second. I am really REALLY hoping there will be a third... (4th, 5th, etc?!) I have gotten such amazing results and I'm feeling fantastic. They have completely replaced the gym for me and they have truly been a freaking LIFE SAVER!!!! yaaay! another challenge!! definitely would love to see- if this is something you still do- how you decide what to prep based on macros you want to hit. hitting a little bit of a road block when it comes to this, but would LOVE to get better acquainted with nutrition

interesting video! i have more or less adopted all of these in a way that fits me and my lifestyle and schedule - except for meal prep. when lockdown lifts, i´ll have to do it, but now, no way. i really enjoy the process of making my food, and it´s an hour i can spend on my legs before every meal (this time is much shorther when i don´t have time). i always have a rough idea, but coming up with other stuff and details during the process is fun too. i make my meals from scratch mostly, but i do use like canned beans in sauce, or sometimes i do get takeout (that fits my goals) when i don´t have time. the idea of having a meal in the fridge to just pull out and eat, knowing exactly what you´ll have for the next meal and not getting to think about it before, and mainly, not getting to spend that time preparing it (preparing food and not eating it right after is horrible to me) is just not worth it, because this is really important for my mental health as well. same with exercise in the evening - no time for that haha.
I've always found your videos insightful and full of good information but this past year in particular has been great. I have quite gotten my routine figured out but I'll get there. Thank you Abby!

maybe im working out wrong but i've only been able to do low intensity workouts for the last couple years, anything moderate or high intensity gives me such a bad headache that I can barely function afterwards. I can do a 2 hour yoga flow class in 45°C room but 10 minutes of cardio??? nah.
I’m struggling so much because I start work at 6 am and my partner gets home at 8-9 pm and that’s the only human interaction I can get 😭so I can’t get the bed earlier to work out in the morning, and am exhausted by the afternoon lol. Halp
Try an afternoon nap right when you get home from work then a workout once you get up from your nap. That should also help keep you alert for your time with your partner. Hope that helps Megan
Chronic stress means always elevated and as a result deviating from the natural cycle cortisol is supposed to follow 🤗 if you suspect you may be dealing with this, then higher intensity activity may not be for you right now. This doesn’t mean it won’t ever be an option, just might not be the best move in the meantime!
Crazy how much time most of us spent procrastinating. The one thing that really helped me to get the best out of my time and to be a lot more productive is Forwago. I am sharing this because it changed my life, and maybe it could also help someone else. I wish I found about it even earlier.
I worked calls. It's different when you get called in for an emergency. You wake up real quick. Adrenaline kicks in. Meal prep is key though. If you don't meal prep you go off track
Will power be long af when I don't thing lunch 😂😂 I always try and bring leftovers, when I don't... I buy bad foods. I need to see what works for breakfast I wake up earlyish and then have to drive an hour for work so lately I've been getting mcmuffins... So bad I want to find something else that's easy to have in the morning
wahhhh when you are still overeating the healthy meals you make at home :( :( :( I am so so so good at only buying healthy food and cooking every single meal but I still tend to overeat. i feel like i have the exercise/clean eating/ high NEAT portions of health out, but often find myself overeating :(
I love you content. I love you videos but during this video I felt you were talking super fast 😰 I would prefer a slower speaking speak even if it’s longer. I found my self having to repeat parts or zoning out because your rate of speech was so fast.
You can also change the playback speed of the video, sometimes if someone talks slow, i speed it up to 1.25x or 1.5x, but if it feels like someone is talking too fast for you to comprehend what they are saying, it may help to change the speed to 0.75x or 0.5x 😊 I hope this helps 😊 Some people just talk fast, and you can't change that about them, but one of the helpful things about RU-vid is that you can modify the playback speed! 😊❤️
I prefer to call it movement, as exercise implies it has to be structured. It could be as simple as getting out for a walk or doing some light stretching.

I know everyone says you make time but jeez...I'm a graduate student work part time and have loads of household upkeep and have ppl to feed so there's no such thing as meal prep..I have no time...and when I do..I just want to relax.
Maybe make more food? Double the amounts of rice for example and save the rest for the next day (or freeze it). I don’t have time to do traditional meal prepping but making extra of what I’m already making saves me time in the future :)
