We challenged chefs of three different levels - an amateur, a home cook and a professional chef - to make their versions of French toast. And then we brought in a food scientist to review their work. Which French toast was the best?

I think those are 2 dif things. I mean here in Slovakia we have "chlieb vo vajci" which means literally "bread in egg" and it should be salty. But also we have French toast which is sweet. But I was confused, like why is Emily making a bread in egg. :D

Yeah true, because it is easy to make, looks delicious, and not too complicated. Level 3 is too complicated and pricey and not worth it to eat for yourself but maybe Ive to try this someday in holiday or special event. Because it's good ol' fashion home made food, it's very relatable, appealing and effort and love was put into it, unlike Emily's..whatever. Penny's looks great and exotic and I'm sure love was put into it, but it's more for something you go out to eat or plan ahead, maybe even a like a special occasion, not for making at your house normally, unless your professional chef like Penny or have a lot of time in your hands.

My Emily study- Everybody is judging her for the sin that is putting ketchup on French toast but...She just soaked bread with egg. It’s not nearly as bad if it was a sweet French toast. Also-she relatable AF. She calls herself a monster, says she eats alone in the dark, and admits that nobody else would eat her mess. She is an unappreciated mood.

I always make mine like the armature, but i just dunk the bread in the eggs mixed with a little milk then i put cinnamon on while its cooking in the skillet. I always have regular bread and eggs and syrup, I love it. The second chefs reminds me of bread pudding, I would make that. And the third one would be a quarantine project.

@@hashtagunderscore3173 To be fair, considering Emily has been in a lot (if not all) of these videos and knows a lot of recipes means she could actually cook very well, but only pretends for the sake of having an amateur chef in the videos. This also means they don't have to go out of their way and grab some random stranger just to cook for them. At this point, Emily is now probably just making fun of the videos by adding ketchup to practically everything in her dish.
