so, in essence, bends in minor pentatonic, in context of *_intervals_* : 1. from VII to I - whole step G to A (string 2, fret 8 to 10) 2. bend maj VI to VII - F# to G (string 2, fret 7 to 8) 3. prebend from V to IV - from E to D ( string 3, fret 7 to 5) 4. "blues" or quarter bend, min III to maj III - C up half semitone (string 3, fret 5 quarter bend up) Then Steve showed following bends: 5. II to III - half step from B to C (string 1, fret 7 to 8) 6. III to IV - whole step from C to D (string 1, fret 8 to 10) now let's find it everywhere on the fretboard.. keep on rockin!

Sweet Child O Mine has some ghost bends. I had no idea how intricate you had to be able to play until just now. I bought my first guitar 2 days ago so obviously I pay attention to things I never thought about before. All I can say is WOW!

Hello Steve. Thanks for all your efforts. You helped me a lot virtually to get to where I am at my guitar skills. Thank you for that .I dont know if you ever take requests but if you do, is there a chance you can do a tutorial for Eric Clapton "Edge of Darkness". You will be the only person who has a video for this lost classic. Please. Thanks

tell us how you are getting that tone. What amp, and is that a boost/overdrive pedal in front or just those humbuckers into a compressor and into a hot amp?

Certainly one of the best lessons on doing melodic bends in a variety of ways, You can't be an effective lead player without that ability. Period.
