Not my video. Video from Broadway.com. Sierra Boggess is joined by Ramin Karimloo, Hugh Panaro, John Owen-Jones and Peter Joback. Curtain call at the Phantom of the Opera 25th anniversary performance on broadway.
Adam Burrous he is a actor. His wife understands completely! At the time Sierra was engaged to Tam Mutu and he understood too! Plus Tam has done some roles that required him to kiss other women which Sierra was fine about!
god, i wish the dvd of love never dies was of THEM, as the 25th anniversary was. it'd be like continuing the story with characters AND actors we both already know and love :(
literally cannot hit the like button enough on this comment. He and Sierra are the Phantom and Christine because he's like, "Ok, go ahead and like sing in shows with other guys, but don't forget. You're MY angel of music." lol love them so much
Ramin may not have been the phantom that night but he's still got all the hand motions down!!! LOVE HIM AS THE PHANTOM!!!!! Such grace, such chemistry!! Bravo bravo--RIERRA
he WAS the phantom that night. it was the 25th anniversary and he was the phantom. this was just the surprise at the end with all the previous phantoms from different places. why ramin isn't wearing the mask confuses me, but i do agree with you. i think ramin is the best phantom there ever was. it love never dies… i felt as if he could've added more emotion in it like when he found out he had a son i think he should've been more in shock rather than rehearsing the lines, and there was some singing that could've been better, but sierra is AMAZING. some might say she's a little melodramatic in the 1st phantom where i can see where people come from but in love never dies she displays the emotions that Christine would really feel. confusion, love, hate, regret, etc, but overall i think ramin and sierra are the perfect phantom and christine in both productions. and they should've been in the movie! (although i just made it sound like they weren't perfect) but they are :) sorry for the really long message i just had to.
lpslover28 It was the 25th anniversary gala on Broadway. Hugh Panaro was the Phantom that night. Ramin was the Phantom at the 25th anniversary at Royal Albert Hall :)
@@lpslover28 no there where three performances one of them was at the royal albert hall and ramin hadley and sierra and the other two where at the broadway gala where hugh panaro sierra and someone else where in the cast
OMG IM DYING IM JUST IMAGINING LIKE CHRISTINE WITH ACTUALLY FOUR PHANTOMS IN HER HEAD AND THE UTTER CONFUSION AS THEY ALL TRY TO ONE UP EACH OTHER AND KEEP LIKE BICKERING OVER WHO THE REAL PHANTOM IS AND SHES NOT ACTUALLY LEARNING ANYTHING IM DEAD
@@Goldenbane i shouldnt but im picturing the phantoms in a circle 😂with the lassos around their necks 😂trying to see who will die first? Omg wtf is wrong with me? 😅😂
@@tiafakhouri2982 Hope you realise this was recorded in uk and he lives here so his wife would be in the audience and after show party.Lives about 30 minutes away from london so would have gone home when rehearsing and after show.People need to get over these two as a couple
LOL! No kidding -- he practically did the musical theatre version of lifting his leg and peeing on her, it was awesome!! XD "Back off, boys, she's MY Angel!"
@@flynn8036 not specifically. But to be landed the role oc ValJean (since its an extremly demanding role, vocally and physically ) you need to have played important lead roles before
Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe the Phantom are as followed (standing from left to right): 1) John Owen-Jones 2) Hugh Panaro (mask) 4) Ramin Karimloo 3) Peter Joback
3:19 The first time I watched this video, I got the impression that Ramin emphasized "my angel" as a way of saying "We are four Phantoms here, but this Christine is only mine1"
Ramin and JOJ have got to be my favourite Phantoms. JOJ has one of the most insanely beautiful voices I've ever heard and Ramin…well, he's Ramin! That's all that needs to be said :)
Just gonna leave here some timestamps: 1:28 3:14 I just love how he "steals" her from the other phantom lmao I'm in love 5:18 ah Ramin 8:11 just nqkhxkeuodje 9:34 his smile oh my
Has anyone noticed the thing that Ramin does with his pinky all the time? Whenever he moves his hand he sticks out his pinky before he actually goes to do whatever he's going to do with it
When you hear Ramin Karimloo sing, the people in the background fangirl so hard and much harder than when all the other phantoms sung and you have earphones on.. You'll be deaf :P
Small fun fact and probably altered for our pure enjoyment but the original score doesn't have the Phantom singing/hollering "Sing for Me" multiple times, it is just "Sing" with "Sing for Me" only at the very end of that episode. I guess it adds to the fun for every Phantom to command her "Sing for Me" and her response is appropriate "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh" hahaha At 0:18 when Sierra starts singing, Ramin just stares at her so intensely for a couple of seconds and then looks at Hugh almost as if to see his reaction to her singing, and then he continues his intense staring of her hahaha. And Ramin's hands ... ah the hands ... he never breaks character with this Phantom poised fingers, they are so expressive. And he wrings his hands like a small boy haha soooo adorable right? At the start he does that thing with his hands and looks from Hugh to Peter as if to say, 'that's her, that is MY Christine" and at 9:39, he suddenly realises (a solo part, of course everyone may be looking at him) but at this Chorus part, both Hugh and Peter are staring at him and he gets all little boy nervous again and he does that little thing with his hands again. fainted ... And omg I love the way, when Sierra goes from one Phantom to another, all the other Phantoms hold her fingertips at arms length but when it is Ramin’s turn, they both step right into each other’s space. At 1:41, she so reluctantly turns away from him. And throughout, he is the only Phantom who touches her face repeatedly. And at one part, she turned to look at him and he smiled reassuringly at her and cocked an eyebrow but then so deftly and professionally physically stiffened into a performer’s stance with the drum beat. Then Hugh took his cue and stiffened followed by Peter. It was a joy to watch. I know it was probably in the script that he was supposed to turn her face away from Hugh but was it my imagination or did he do that probably a millisecond too quickly and also, ahhh the way he did it - so ‘man’. Awwwww … heart melt. At the end of her singing, she put her hands up to her throat and sort of stumbled forward - check out Ramin’s face. He immediately looked so concerned and almost stepped forward to see if she was alright. Awwwww … And the way he started MOTN, I never believed in tantric you know what until now. Gosh! The hand movements, the expression ... where can I get a bottle of that?! At 9:27, Hugh realised that it was Peter's part he had just sung and he looked at Ramin. I tell you what, Hugh couldn't have chosen a nicer and kinder person to look at for reassurance. I love the way Ramin just nodded and smiled so wonderfully at him as if to say, hey it's ok. Ramin is always so respectful of the other performers and is just a very kind person (unless you are being nominated for being an understudy who has never been on ... hahaha that is another video you guys must catch, I couldn't breath from all the laughing) And his smile throughout, he was absolutely loving being there, there is no faking joy like that!
*Sigh.* That awkward moment when you came here for Hugh since HE was the one who did the Broadway 25th anniversary, but everyone in the comments keeps gushing about Ramin. -_-
I personally think that Ramin Karimloo, John Owens-Jones, and Micheal Crawford were the best phantoms at this current moment in time. Which makes me wonder how would Alfie Boe do as a phantom? Just a thought lol. WHOO HOO GO RAMIN & SIERRA!!!!
There are and always have been great Phantoms, but how to explain why Ramin is so special? Voice (range, power, emotion), acting, stage presence, charisma, looks, and that “je ne sais quoi”. No one hits those high notes the way he does! And those hands….
Going through the comments, is no one here gonna talk about Peter Jöback D: he seems so incredibly under appreciated in this video when next to Hugh, Ramin, and John. He deserves so much more recognition for his voice! He’s basically Micheal Crawford all over again and I feel like a lot of people look him over because he doesn’t have that low tenor/high barritone voice a lot of Phantoms have that everyone is used to.
NOTICE: THIS COMMENT IS NOT MEANT TO BE INSULTING TO ANYONE ON STAGE! With that, I would like to say that it was mistake having Peter go right before Ramin. Ramin is the best singer ever and you just know that he's going to get all the love. just listen to the applause at 1:25. Ramin gets more applause than ALL of the phantoms. Even Hugh who played the phantom for that production.
I think they did that because of what part they would be singing going in that order, they give that part to Peter a lot, if you watch some of the other "Multiple Phantom" videos.
Before I'd heard JOJ I held Michael Crawford in top spot followed by Ramin but, Ramin comes third now. JOJ is something else, the closet I've ever felt that came to Michael. Not that I'm saying they need to be cardboard cut outs of him or each other to be good but Michael's interpretation of Phantom and JOJs are for me what I feel best personifies Phantom. I get chills everytime I hear them. Their tones, their painting light and shade with their voices and their portrayal.. Perfection to me. Don't get me wrong though Ramin is a very charming and talented Phantom. Just not Michael or JOJ for me.
Not gonna lie. I absolutely agree. And I know that's an unpopular opinion. Ramin is good yes, they all are but JOJ is truly the best of this bunch. Only bested by Michael Crawford.
They are so different. Ramin is more powerful and hits those high notes like no one can. And personally I prefer his acting interpretation. I feel his Phantom’s torment. That’s not to say DOJ’s take on it is bad - just different.
My Step by Step reaction to this video: 0:34 Get you a man who will look at you the way Ramin looks at Sierra. 0:36 HE LICKED HIS FUCKING LIPS HELP 1:04 Hugh is the most precious of all Phantoms, must protect 1:28 Here he comes... 1:29 CHAOS IN MY OVARIES 1:35 STROKE MY CHIN YOU FUCKING GOD 1:40 Already victorious 2:27 Hugh hears audience singing, adorable 3:12 Ramin Phantom is jealous 3:15 I CAN'T BREATHE "Sing... MY Angel of Music" 3:25 RAMIN GOD DAMN 4:08 SHOOK MY SOUL 4:18 Sierra is probably so overwhelmed with the level of sexuality on stage between these four men 5:17 BACK AT IT YES PLEASE 9:13 I WANT TO DO MORE THAN TOUCH
2:34 I love what Ramin is doing with his eyebrows, like "yeeeeah, let's do this!" and the brass chimes in and he schools that huge grin on his face and gets down to business.
I went to go see Phantom and I saw her. My jaw dropped to the ground. I was saying in my head she is a 10 out of a 10 singer, beautiful. She came to the palace but I was too young to go.
Saw Ramin and Sierra at Osaka, Japan 2013. They had a show with Lea Salonga of Miss Saigon fame. Omg. Crazy good! Ramin and Sierra singing songs from Phantom and Ramin and Lea duets on several songs from Saigon. It was a mind blowing experience!
Each Phantom has put his mark on the role. They are all all mesmerizing in their own ways. It goes without saying that Sierra is glorious (as always). The tribute to the conductor was inspired.
