True, I've been debating it but I use the messenger feature a bit, particularly bc I don't always get phone service! But I suppose I could switch to another platform for that.
The shortest useful video, I use these platforms to expand my creativity, laugh at memes and learn, how can some people live without constant curiosity?
I'm a 21 year old Gen Z'er. Born 1999, high and mighty. I have an old soul too. I love 50's rock n roll and doo-wop, 60's garage and psychedelic and Beach Boys, 70's classic rock and punk and disco and underground, and 80's new wave and Gothic rock and post punk and punk rock. I'm not a fan of what many in my generation do. I don't do Fortnight, nor Tik Tok, I don't listen to Justin Beiber or Cardi B or Billie Ellish, I don't do rap or hip hop. Those things are just not my style. It's very rare to see another Gen Z'er have similar interests as me. You can subscribe to me if you want. I also have Instagram!
Yeah, those are the stereotypes/what is most popular but I do think there are a lot of diverse interests within the generation! Where do you think you get your interests from? And subscribed!
Actually same, I love 50s-90s music and late 2000s music (my childhood songs). But I was more into 80s music (japanese city pop and filipino city pop) and the recent pop music (Kylie Minogue, Dua Lipa and The weeknd). I used to do tiktok and play fortnite, but I don't understand them that much.
I'm 26 and I could relate to all of this. I never touched print magazines growing up nor do I use my Facebook and carry cash with me just cards and cash app 🤣
Love your videos. Always informative and enlightening. I heard other things the younger generations are killing (Y and Z) are hunting, car ownership, home ownership, organized religion, and patriotism (the knee jerk kind). A lot of this may apply more to Y or Millennials than Z. Big changes on the horizon. This video was done in late 2020. It would be interesting to see how true this holds at the end of this year of 2022.
Thank you! And those definitely seem like things that are downward trending with the newer generations. Thanks for sharing and true, I may have to further evaluate. It's certainly been a transformative time
@@TheGenerations1 sports is big here but you are mostly on point! Zuckerberg has made a lot of mistakes so I don't blame the newer gens for not trusting him and anytime :)
Yeah I am not sure that much of Gen Z does use Snapchat. At least initially, I think it was most popular with late Millennials/early Gen Z. Discord and Reddit do seem pretty popular!
@@TheGenerations1 I'm old school I use traditional forums, theres a modern software called Xenforo. I was born in 95 so I use both forums & social media.
