Pew Research Center has historically been a good source to get new information and analyses on the generations. They are making some changes in regards to how they cover the generations and other related topics so this was something I needed to cover! This could signal bigger changes and could influence content on this channel down the line as well.
In this video I talk about what Pew Research Center does in general, and what changes they are making in the future as it relates to the generations.

What do you think about this? What change do you like/not like best? As a side note, topic four is maybe the biggest change you will *notice*. Share this video with someone who is interested in the generations: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BLQkPMBgVHA.html

The fact that Pew are making these changes discredits everything they have ever published on the generations. I'm often quoted 'research' from Pew & others to discredit my facts in debates. Usually the research is conducted by ppl who are too young to really know & done with such a small pool that I believe accurate extrapolation is impossible, but it's published & subscribed too by many & they think that if its published it true, well you've just helped me prove the opposite. You dont change whats right... right?

Does this mean the end of proposed micro-generations like xillennials and zillennials?

So I am not sure about the cusps, we definitely might see smaller groups which may be exciting to see!

Why not create generation labels based on the decade you graduated high school? Everyone who graduated from either the 2000s, 2010s (myself), and 2020s can have their nicknames. Or do not use generation labels at all. I want microgeneration to be included in pew research.

A lot of things are possible! We'll see what they choose to do but that sounds at least as good as choosing the birth year decades like they suggested. I think grouping by graduation year is an idea some other people like as well

@@TheGenerations1 the problem is that it is way too much complicated and pew research made it over simplfied and many of the research is sold as permanent markers for the generations i graudated in 2015 in high school where tech was prominent and more over starting from 2007 iphone and lot of smartphone came where i was in 6th and 7th grade in my school i knew the internet and dont know about dial up conection i was born in late 1996 though earlier i was put with early 1997 born from jan to march but i failed in class 1 because of my dyslexia but still i was putted on 1 class again with 1997 borns but it was mid 1997 to late 1997 which is why i was considered as gen z a lot of times
