Every rider has their own way of dealing with water on the trail. Are you a sender? Or do you prefer to be a bit more cautious and keep those shoes dry?
Literally I was just gonna put this too I can't count how many times I just roll through the biggest puddles and just lift my feet up like I'm floating through a lake.
If it’s actually cold, it will be frozen anyways, but usually it’s above freezing and just chilly/cool, which feels nice unless you get unlucky and it’s around freezing in the air and still liquid, but that’s still a skill issue though.
One of my favorite summer activities used to be riding my bike through puddles in the street after it rained. My clothes would get soaked, and I’m sure my parents hated it, but it was always a ton of fun!
I’m the sender but obviously I don’t have on pants, shoes, socks, or messed up foot braces to begin with, so clothing wise I’m the “forager” like normal. Also, I stick my foot in the puddle and it splashes up my leg, which is so fun
I just slowly ride through water and end up getting my back and feet soaked, it's so much fun though. It will be something I can remember from my teenagehood as an adult 😂
im a sender type of mountain biker its just so fun i also like to wheelie and send it i would highly recommend it although i had my ups and downs trying to do it
before i went clipless i used to send it, but pick my feet way up off the pedals and tuck them in by my crossbar... staying dry, sending it, and a balance trick all at once!
You forgot me. The guy who either slams his rear wheel into the water to make my friends wet or tries to bunny hop it and horribly fails just to get wet as well!
