I think what's so wonderful about 40k lore is that so much of Chaos' power is enabled by the very tactics that the imperium needs to use to surpress its influence.
I wonder if there has ever been a populus corrupted by a chaos cult of Nurgle bashing in the palace of it's governor only to find the leading class already being corrupted by forming a cult of Slaneesh? The great game is about planets as well is it not?

Cleftlipkid thanks for the feedback. I really messed up on this video because I didn’t record all of the audio on the same day with the same mic which is why you hear the audio fluctuating so much. In the future if I am forced to record like this again I will try to match the sound better in post. Again thanks for the feedback it helps us get better.

Simply NO. You will never read or hear about anything other alien army or civilization. Especially in the horus heresy. If there is any, only elders are mentioned.
There were many that were fought before the heresy and theres a story about the traitors using a particularly nast breed of alien that they fought before to try and kill big e. The species in question had the ability to just outright kill anyone or become basically like an anathema against them if they taste their targets blood. So a sizable force was sent after rogue tader houses and fleets looking for one of the first rogue trader charters that big e signed with his own blood. Then there was the cabal. A group of alien psykers from multiple species that were working with the alpha legion behind the scenes to try and ensure that horus won and humanity went extinct. Everyone els just got the hell out of the way.
The aliens were mostly pre occupied. Firstly the Tyranids hadn't arrived in the galaxy yet. The Tau may not have been spacefaring yet and in any case humanity didn't know they existed until 700 years after the horus heresy. The Necrons were sleeping. The orks were basically just doing ork things so fighting each other. Fighting the Kroot. Basically just fighting whoever. And the eldar were basically just dying out.
