"Sniping's a good job, mate. Challenging work, out of doors. I guarantee you won't go hungry 'cause at the end of the day as long as there's two people alive someone is gonna want someone dead" - Vindicare Assassin, probably.
The purest form of assassination is to induce one of your enemies to kill another of your enemies without being aware of your inducement ~ Vanus school
There was a story in the horus heresy about a vanus assasin trying to get a squad of alpha legion. It was hillarius af despite the whole trying to murder each other thing..... Heres a squad of guardsmen that are going to coincidentally wander into a hallway where the legionairs should be. Oh no theyre not there? Ha ha fool we’ve been in the room with you the whole time watching you! I know. Emergancy escape hatch followed by guardsmen throwing gernades into the room.
And each primarch is a latent psyker whos mere pressence literally commands respect and obedience which a regular old assasin wouldnt be able to replicate.
You two are my source for random fun 40k stuff. Things like lore and small tidbits. And I always look forward to the Greater Waaaagh series. It’s nice to take a break from the hardcore competitive scene every once in a while.
@@kiwiplays2370 Yes , nowadays you need a degree , and you better have a useful ones . Gone are the day of our parents when you could get a good job by just working for the same company for a while . Now it's degree for everything !
I like to learn the lore behind many of those characters we play as. If u play the RPG 40k this kind of lore really helps flesh out your backgrounds. Keep up the amazing work I love to learn the lore of 40k
Big fan of your videos. Your channel has allowed me to keep up with the current lore and it's been very helpful. This series has been rather interesting. I've always enjoyed the eversor assassin personally. Ran one back when I played regularly. Keep up the good work!
Loved the video. Anyone that really likes Imperial Assassins and wants a story about all 4 types working to nullify a Chaos corruption definitely read "Seventh Retribution" from the Black Library. Also the Execution Force board game is a lot of fun to coop with some buddies while having beers. It can be brutal as hell and unforgiving though.
>>> pssst, OMS. a bit of info for you: given the Latin pronunciation to a vast majority of Imperial assets, *Vindicare isn't spoken as three syllable word* "vin-di-care" but rather in four syllables as "vin-di-ca-re" in the same fashion as you pronounce Astarte. Latin, guys. Imperium naming is strongly rooted in Latin. it wouldn't hurt to consider that when dealing with unfamiliar aspects of Imperium terminology.
@@EricLinstone i know, i've watched them for quite awhile now. and, hahaha, i do vocalize the correct pronunciation towards the monitor nearly every time one crops up - it could be a drinking game, given the frequency it occurs. however, as i have done before, i choose to provide them with a chance to improve in their own knowledge rather than pointlessly yammering at the screen. i accept that they may never see it, but there is nothing to lose in the attempt.
Love these videos, I listen to them while painting my Death Korps of Krieg! Have you guys ever done a "40 Facts and Lore On..." video on what it takes to become a Knight Preceptor?
QUESTION: What do you think is the funniest canon lore thing in 40K. And even though 40K is grim/dark do you think it would be ok if GW made a goofy faction/chapter?
Question for your FTGW: are there any records of humans leaving the Milky Way via warp travel? Presumably the warp would be easier to travel in across large swaths of empty space, as there are no life forms there to conjure up warp demons.
Only one to have been confirmed to go outside the galaxy has been the silent king of the necrons. There was a ship that traveled through time from the golden age and witnessed the death of the galaxy before traveling back to modern 40k. It decided to just try and get out of dodge before the end and seemed like it could have gone to other galaxies. Theres actually a debate about whether the warp even exists past the milky way. Does the warp need emotions to actually exist and if so does it mean theres nothing beyond the rim? Or what would happen if you get a big group of people traveling on like a colony type ship. By merely traveling would they create their own pocket warp space.
Assassin cults come in a variety of types. The ones mentioned here are the imperials "Best". Planet's, organization's, and even heretics raise there own type of assassins through cults. It's encouraged to create your own.
Yes, there is one depicted in Nemesis called Speare. He was a blank/pariah to whom Erebus bound a demon. Because of the paradoxical nature of its existence, Speare could register as a regular human to psychics while his blank aspect would shield the demon from detection. In return, the demon's skin allowed him to 'absorb' the mind, personality and take on the appearance of any target - making it the perfect tool of infiltration.
thanks for covering this topic, might make a imperial Assassin OC to be part of the Rouge Trader group. was thinking the Sniper one. for Halloween I am rocking the Psycho Bandit costume from Spirit Halloween was thinking on making him more like my Panel legionnaire OC
Suggestion Can you make a 40 facts video about how the Emperor reacted to each of his sons falling to chaos and how he treated the ones who remained loyal?
Hey, been really looking into starting to collect these. If I win, I'm gonna go Imperial and get on the patreon. I love the lore behind the assassinorum, and a fan fic with them I stumbled into actually got me to look into 40k.
@@micheal5973 Yeah, inducted, right. I mean, sure they can't wear Terminator armor or ride bikes, but we totally inducted them. Yep, totally inducted, not shoved into a reactor core. Inducted, yep.
2 Questions: 1) Everytime I read into the Lore of the Harlequins I can never seem to find any True notable Characters. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but is there or was there any notable, Harlequins? 2) What is the statues of Be'lakor? Watched your 40 facts, did a little lore diving but for being the 1st Daemon Prince, manipulated by all the Chaos gods you would think his role would be more significant. Your Thoughts? Also keep up the great work. I never thought I'd donate money to a RU-vid Channel until you guys, and Tyrannicon. Dude is comedy. But for real keep doing your thing.
There is one harlequin character: Silandry veilwalker. She's been quite important recently, since che la the harlequins that freed Roboute Guilliman after Kairos captured him.
Its hard to actually get names for notable harlequins because the whole idea of the masks is to erase their identities and turn them into the roles that they are playing. So most of the time we just get the name of the role. Deathjester, shadowseer, solitair ect.
What about the Venenum Assassin Temple who specialize in poisons and toxins and the Vanus temple who engineer assassinations by regulating and manipulating information.
how is the recruiting process for those death cult assassins who work as bodyguards for inquisitors and other VIPs? Are they taken from the same stock as the assassin temples or is that a totally different path?
What happened to the assassin that cut off Conrads head ? Like is she on the run with his head in a bag ? If she gets the soul stone Crown will she put Conrad Back on to bring back a prime mark ? Did Conrad ever join chaos ?
I don't know what it is, but something about your inflection and speech pattern is just driving me up the wall. If it's something you're doing in an attempt to build suspense or tension I advise reconsidering that decision, otherwise it's on my end. In which case, so long and no hard feelings.
The Assassin temples are not on Terra. Yes, there is an Assassinorum temple on terra, but this is an administrative post and office to the master of assassins (who is one of the High Lords).
With eldar its pretty much the harlequins. Orks have kommandos which i guess is close..... Necrons would probably be the wraiths. Tyranids have lictors. And tau..... well every one of the blueberries pretty much has a sniper rifle as standard kit out of bootcamp.
It always seemed strange to me that only the high lords can authorize the use of one of these guys. Surely most of the threats they would be suited for wouldn’t be large enough to be worth one of the high lords attention, right?
