Recently I was up in New South Wales hunting fallow deer as part of filming season 2 of The Huntsman. This bonus video documents an agonizing fallow deer stalk that took part on the second day of the trip. I've tried to keep it as raw as possible so that you get to enjoy the beat by beat rhythm of the hunt. If you enjoy hunting deer you are going to love this hunt.

Man I couldn’t count how many of your videos I watched in the last few days! I also just signed up for membership. Haven’t landed one yet and was pretty upset to find the hunt you posted as full. Well done make keep up the good content it certainly taught me quite a bit hopefully my luck changes 🤣

Love that you've gotten something out of the videos. There are plenty more coming :) im learning a lot myself in these hunts. Hunting with different people really helps. Welcome to the club and community!!! I'll be hosting more hunts in the future so don't worry. Plus other members who are far better hunters then I host hunts too, so keep an eye out:)

2 deer after that is great. You got to keep in mind they mainly see movement. Or a change in the landscape. They ascociate a tall figure with danger so the idea is to stay very low and blend in with a fixture like a tree line or fence line etc.

Very true. It also helps to keep your shape as small as possible. For instance if you are hunting with someone else get them to walk right behind you, as close as possible so that you only have one silhouette. A deer that sees multiple shapes is far more prone to bolting.

We would have, but it was private property. Couldn't enter it. The fenceline was the best opinion, even though it was exposed.

Whilst you have captivated the hunting scene i think you do alot more private or guide huntings. There is a few other good ozzi youtubers who are really experienced and really go public land hunts, camp in or hike in. Maybe hit them up? Whilst private land is still hunting I do find it abit boring or less engaging when it's done on a deer farm. All the best.

Hi there. This year I'm trying to find the balance between private and public. The season will be about 50% of each, whereas 100% of my personal hunts i don't film are public land. Most of the public land hunts will be later in the season chasing Sambar.

The challenge when producing a show is representation. Most states of Australia don't have public land hunting. So it's not feasible for everyone. Ive also got a young family and cant be away 7-10 days at a time hunting and filming. It's not fair on them. So it's about finding the balance :) when the camera is off the pressure is off and i go wherever i want.
