Easy way to injury yourself by lifting that much that way puts alot of pressure and stress on the back and sides doing that way next time just use a rack will still be mighty impressive
@@aidenralston4328 Jesus Christ, yes, but that is during the SQUAT. Not during the rockover, that is acted by GRAVITY, for fucks sake. I should know, because I've been doing squats like that for years. If you have not, you may be talking out your ass.
if the girl looked at him the comments would all be “but if the roles were reversed😂” any video ive seen of a dude lifting heavy and a girl watching the comments are mocking the videos where girls complain about creepy dudes so
Old school method. We didn't always have power racks, so the lifters of gymnasiums past had to develope methods of setting up for their reps. Impressive.
The reason is as soon as the wheight on the upper part starts coming down and the pivot point being on his neck, as soon as it comes down far enough that the other end starts lifting up from the ground the momentum is transferred from the left weight falling down, to his neck in a straight downwards force, the stopping power he needs to put in to make the bar horizontal is only a few kilos, that being said it’s still impressive as hell, from that point it’s the same as starting a squat from a compressed position
He's using his body as a pivot, go to the gym and try it yourself with whatever weight you're used to, It's easier to get the bar up like this, if he had to start from a deep squat with the bar down he wouldn't have been able to lift it as easily. This video is just.....disgusting.....I guess he's insecure because of all the fat Idk
@@smscott317 if you haven't been training to do this, yes, very dangerous. But he looks very confident in his technique, so it's probably relatively safe.
I don’t go to the gym but I’m a roofer and I’ve always lifted very heavy things like this instead of trying to lift things straight up. Really hits the opposite side of your body that gets neglected a lot and gets the good parts of your hip
This is such a back handed compliment. Why do y’all always have to be weird when you see a fat person on your feed. Like can we stop saying this. It’s a weird stereotype and it’s like every time you see a fat person you go “I bet they give goof hugs!” Or “their so cute!” Like can y’all not. We’re not babies, the fuck?
@@Pinkbunnie Everyone gives good hugs, fat, skinny, muscular, tuba, you don't even need to have arms to give a hug, and on a side note my boyfriend does competitive lifting and he looks a lot like this guy, that's not really fat that's mostly muscle.
I think that’s probably the easiest part , he’s using pure balance and technique to do it, I mean he’s actually only lifting half the weight and using momentum to to lift it onto his shoulders
@@hectorchavez3405 well isnt the momentum pushing downwards so he has to counteract it by pushing the heavy weight upwards? Plus not having the weight on your shoulders than having it on it, in such a way must feel extremely rough on the body
Chiros are thetrical charlatans. Get massage therapy first and then PT if you can get a straight answer from their estimates. Don't let them charge you 3000 by the time you get your estimate
For those of you wondering. This is called the Steinborn Squat. Its absolutely a very real technique that requires INCREDIBLE strength, control, AND form. Without those things, you will fail any attempt to do this lift. And if you try to just “man-handle it” you will severely injure yourself.
Bros who can do this circus stuff are usually way too into these circus lifts and like to show off, but sometimes they're just looking to have fun and really lowkey push themselves.
@@franklinflowers8106 you’re not wrong. I think thats why Martins Licis decided to break the WR in it. I love his yt channel where he travels abroad and trains with natives in their respective cultural lifts. He’s done the Scottish and English stuff years ago. But he’s been going to Afghanistan, China, Japan to check out how their strong men trained and to try it himself. Seeing him and his friends go to china and lift stones with old people was hilarious and heartwarming. Sorry. Im a huge strongman nerd. Lol
@@steveroberts2475 I experienced it first hand, back when I was 23 I used to do 300ish not as much as this guy but trust me, don’t do it, I’m 35 now and got so much joint problem, just do a light workout
@@Axtrudithorize applause, not 🍏 🛸?? We adding an extra syllable each turn: next one is five... Its different when you actually do squats; for people that don't doing this kind of exercise requires "sauce". Be, it's called consistency. I did that form of squats before and I've never used. I've seen people that did use try that squat and injured themselves. Form and Control are Form and Control all day; there's no way around that.
@henrikerber169 man, that's unfortunate 😔 I used to stress SO MUCH that going to the gym you have to possess some awareness. Stretch 1st, stay loose, stretch after. Don't put too much on, test it first. ALWAYS maintain good form ESPECIALLY when you're not exercising; good posture goes a long way. I hope he recovered. I had a friend once that avoided leg day at all costs (old lower back injury) and I showed him how just changing his posture could help him not feel the exercises because his bad form took away from his legs and made him feel everything in his back that he wasn't supposed to be using at all... Form really goes a long way
He is killing his back look how tweaked it was. He will be regretting this when he is older and walking hunched over.. hope he doesn't always do that exercise
The kid was laughing. Doesn't look impressed. This shouldn't be glamorized I feel. What he did was stupid. Imagine if other people also started doing this inspired by his stupidity. There's a reason the squat rack exists. It prevents injuries. For people around and also for the one who's lifting.
