Yep being around girls it activates our protect and hunt instinct and boosts testosterone. Things we fear we suddenly dont anymore. Im usually afraid of bees but if im around a girl i find i quash that fear temporarily

I mean… I’m impressed. He got it down and back up he didn’t get hurt he didn’t try to hit multiple reps. He knew his limit and he hit it. Good for him.
His form wasn't "too bad", especially for 1RP but his back should be more stable, it looked for a while as he was struggling with keeping his back at correct degreee
@@steverossen2816 I’d like to see the statistics on that considering you provided no context for either variable. Move on sensationalist, I was just putting my two cents in, and it is a hundred percent true.
Learn my lesson. I was squatting 315 pounds but I had such bad form. And I got there quick. Just in 4 months. Now I do them ass to the grass, slow decline then smooth swift going up with great foot balance placement. But I can only squat 245 for 5 reps. I’m 163 pounds though. Best thing I have ever done.

It's good for you with normal amount of weight. The small bones and tendons and ligaments in your feet aren't meant for all that weight. Pro powerlifters wear weight lifting shoes for a reason. See Mark Rippetoe for why you should powersquat with weightlifting shoes.
@@achraf2095 numbers, they don't lie. also you can clearly see that they just started to watch when they saw what he was going to do. so nothing about his body at all.
with these kinds of lifts spotting is not really possible and only increase the risk of injury. Just look at Justyn Vicky. The best spotter is being able to drop the weight behind you
No... bad idea. You can get hurt badly by having a spotter "take the weight" either bail when you fail or use spotter arms. I've seen too much fuckery with using side spotters and using a back spotter puts both of you in some serious danger.
Deff just use the spotter racks. They are designed to catch the weight if you fail. Most people I see set them so low that they become useless, or even worse take them off. I adjust them every time so they are just below my squat depth. If I fail the bar lands on them as I go and not on me, or a person behind me thinking they can help me with a 500lb bar on my back. That being said if you don't have spotter arms, two people on both sides of the ends of the bars can actually help if you start to fail, also usually someone is also behind like the second guy in this video. They do this Power lifting Competitions a lot. Someone behind the squatter only could lead to the squatter getting hurt as they might have trouble bailing, or the person trying to guide them up if the bar falls back onto them.
Yeah and that back bend, most people saying it’s “not a bad squat” squat a ton weight WRONG in the first place I see it all the time. It’s going to seriously hurt your back.
@@mco_jontI’m a certificated personal trainer under NASM this type of lifting is so stupid and ignorant. Why do I need to dream of getting it off the rack when I can strangle or KO this dude yet can only lift a fraction of what he can because I’ve got over a decade of kickboxing and jiu jitsu experience. People put WAY to much importance on the max weight you can lift it literally doesn’t matter lol go walk into a athletic sport and tell them your bench and they will laugh at you because you don’t lift for a purpose you just lift for ego which is sad and beta compared to being an athlete training for competition.
@@Windbend3r I don't want to undersell your accomplishments as a trainer. Or to say anything about your decade of kickboxing and jiu jitsu experience. But you do know that there is competitions for lifting? He could be training for a power lifting competition instead of just going for a 1rep max with no purpose. I personally think the majority of sports are boring, and pointless. But I don't say oh you like playing basketball? That's sad and beta. I'm just like that's cool I hope you enjoy what you love. This guy clearly enjoys what he is doing. PS, yes I hate it when if you try to offer advice on a lift and someone is like you can't even lift it at all. That's not the point ever.
@@jesuspernia8031yeah it is the newest craze, so we all need to do it like good lemmings. no reason for it, but all the other kids do it, so we need to also
@@brians9508 there is a reason, balance because some shoes like sneakers etc can fold and you'll get injured so either do barefoot or with flat shoes like converse
Sometimes people literally shit themselves. You can find a video with Matt Vena talking about shitting himself during a squat in the Canadian Nationals
@@bighoss8793 If the ground is slippery and you’re wearing slick socks then that’s a problem but there’s some platforms where you can grip the floor with your feet. I personally just use my converse when I lift and Hokas for running.
@@356z lmao dum dum, no it's not common at all, and squatting improperly *reduces* the risk of compression fracture specifically. It's okay to not know jack shit about biomechanics, but I don't know why tf you'd weigh in. (that's also not what the "snap city" idiots mean)
@@356z good talk, fuckwit. learn what causes compression fractures and what back injuries are actually common from squatting, and then maybe you can sit at the adult table when we're talking.
Yeah you probably struggle with 135 and don't get depth. You leave the gym thinking you accomplished something but you never hit your goals and then you wonder why you don't see results... am I somewhere in the ballpark?
Not parallel to my eyes. Strong as heck though, big weight, really close. Almost had a rerack catastrophe… I’m not going to say ego, but not the cleanest.
Most squat mishaps occur during unracking and reracking the weight. Especially with heavy loads. His struggle was the barbell hit the pins when he was reracking the weight
Yes and I think that's good. We were born without shoes. I think too many ppl really on heavily padded shoes too much. Get yourself some barefoot shoes and watch your feet spread back to normal after years of being scrunched together.
@@joketsu100right 😂 god forbid these chics be like omg 😮😅 and it somehow be a bad thing? If they didnt have those expressions; wouldnt see me hating. But i rewatched and it looks better admittedly 😅
It's a test of your one-rep max - an all out lift. To your point, one rep doesn't provide much benefit to strength or muscle gains, but that isn't the point of a one-rep max, it is intended to test if your strength had improved.
Hey they still looked impressed a little ego lifting once in a life time or twice is not wrong I highly doubt most people that started doing body weight push ups had perfect form let alone that much weight on squat it’s my opinion if ego lifting bother you then maybe you should Think about making a home gym
