425WHP Big Turbo Fiesta ST Review! 

When the boost kicks in so hard it gives you a hickey! Eddie looking real sharp these days

I’m building a 9sec fox/LS turbo mustang and no way I’d give up my 340whp fiesta ST for the mustang. Fiesta ST is so so much fun to drive. 12’s on street tires, runs on 93oct or E50 fuel, I can go out on a “The smoking tire” type drive on a Sunday morning and it’s just a blast. 550whp 2800lbs mustang can be fun (and scary ) for a 1/4 mile, but my fiesta does it all (with AC and all ).

It's a nice sleeper, when you look at it from the outside you wouldn't notice how fast it is. Good Job

Lol I blew this specific cars motor up, bought a crate motor swapped it in and then it got sold a few months later. Badass no doubt, it was originally purchased in Hawaii and is was traded in at Bozard Ford in St. Augustine, FL

I wonder what wheels are on this car. I own a fiesta st and this makes me want to mod mine. Although I wouldn't mod it to 400hp tho lol.

So, it's a great platform for SOME modifications. A 100 Lb diet (not sure if 200 Lbs is possible w/o harming functionality), larger intercooler, freer flowing down pipe & fatter exhaust. Turbo is a big issue. Hard to find a quick spooler, in a middling size. I.e.: K03 & K03s are fast spoolers (very small), but, the K04 is much bigger and slower to spool- there goes your lag time. I spent much time ( & way too much money!!!) on trying to build 'just right'. With all these new, smaller engines out - I'm hoping that someone will design a well considered turbo that can be in the boost just over 2,000 RPM and run out of steam at say 6,500 RPM. I think the technology is very close (heat shields, heat exchangers, dedicated & pressurized oil coolers, variable vane tech...) and, I wonder just how much bigger the turbo is on the 2.3L Ecoboost motor... I sense (flame suit ON!) that 325 -350 HP is about all I'd want in such a small, light car. The big turbo "ON/OFF" switch can kill lots of people, because it can be so twitchy. We all LOVE more, more HP & torque, but, I don't want to give up on 'throttle tip in' for safety, especially around corners, or, in dicey weather. Just 1 man's experienced opinion- many will disagree. It's a great time to be playing with small, light weight turbo-charged cars though. Could you imagine a Lotus Evora with BOTH a supercharger & a turbo? Because, sometimes - 430 just isn't enough.

I plan on buying a Fiesta ST next spring.

The 3 door version looks so much better, its a shame they didnt sell it in the US. I thought my ST was quick with the MP215 upgrade but this is almost double the power lol

Can you improve the ride without killing the turn in feel and handling? I got rid of mine in 14 because the ride just beat me up too much. I miss the fun of it and the usability. I like the factory stereo too.

Better tell your friend to have is coolant tank system should be replaced it was on recall that little flimsy plastic line coming out of the coolant tank snapped because it was so brittle from all the heat, it did it at 65,000 miles, there’s also another plastic one behind the tank mine is replaced with bigger radiator type hoses and aluminum. I love my 14 ST, 73,000 miles and going strong

The killer thing with the Fiesta for me was the damn feedback in the steering wheel from the road...it felt like it had no alignment or balance....those 3 inch tires dont help..

Not to keen on it being a 5 door but still, pretty smart car!

No shot this is 400+ whp. Without having a fully “built” motor in these fiestas. You max out at about 375. And that’s with auxiliary fueling too.

lol I have a Fiesta with 60 ps

It is easy to get 425 hp from a turbocharger and intercooler swap along with a tune. I've seen these cars running low 11ens and 10's at the drag strip with stock 1.6 liter engine and some bolt on items like turbo and intercooler upgrade. Even to drop the Focus RS 2.3 liter 350 hp engine under the hood yes. o to 60 in 3.9 seconds and high 11vens in the quarter mile.My 2018 Fiesta ST is stock all the way 93 octane shell and I opened up the intake box in front of the radiator make a big difference in the way it runs. I think Ford did this for people that get alot of rain. I am very pleased with my new car for sure.

I don't get builds like this. There's a point of "diminishing returns". It is literally a waste of energy (and time and money) to try to put that much power to the front wheels. It's just going to spin the tires off.

Bullshit. Fastest st in the world is the scc performance development car at 406bhp. Meth powered means nothing. Also you talk such rubbish. These cars dont have turbo lag.
