Brought to us by lock pick mall, this HUK tubular lock pick set gets two thumbs up from me. The link is below.
After testing it on several locks here in the lock shack I have concluded it works great each and every time.
I know it's not the best one on the market but I think the price is right.
If your interested in this or any other products at lock pick mall you can get it at 6% off until Feb 23rd of 2023 by using coupon code albert at checkout.

These (HUK) sets are well made. I have found that I do not have the luck you have with using them. I’ve used them on Master padlocks, Chicago and cabinet style cylinder locks with various success. I bought a second set thinking my first was defective but still had problems. I am sure it is a combination of technique, the lock and the rubber band tensioning. Practicing is the key and trail and error. Thanks for the video.👍🦊

OMG, I've had a simular set for ages and couldn't open a dam thing with them, thought I'd been conned. Just watched your video and saw how the pin can be removed (who knew, I didn't). Moved the pin slightly deeper into the pick and just opened my first lock with it. Thanks Albert your a god!

I am so happy it helped. Yes, the tools work great after a bit of practice. Also keep in mind if the pins are slipping past the pick "fingers" try using the next size up. I also found they dont work too good on those cheap acrylic practice because the pins flop around way too much.

I purchased the Southord one when I first got into lock picking, excellent quality but I couldn't pick certain types of locks because of that guide pin that was needed/not in them, so I purchased the HUK set and never looked back since. Plus they were a lot cheaper Lol.. They're an excellent set to add to any lock pickers kit ;-)

Hey Al, great video and thanks for making it. Just a question though, on that first lock (the one without the notch in the middle), how is the tool applying tension? I’m familiar with your special tension tool for the Pengcheng locks which look similar to the first one in this video, in fact I ordered one from Sparrows last week. So I’m not sure, with no post in the middle of the tool because of no notch in the middle of the lock, how tension gets applied to that inner ring to get the open.
@AlbertLebel
@AlbertLebel 5 месяцев назад
Excellent question, we simply count on the pins in the lock and the ones on the tool to stay in place due to the slight concave’s in the center pole on the lock where the pins are. Honestly it’s a bit more sketchy doing it that way but it works. Truth be told I have had one slip out of place on me but it doesn’t matter. You can simply rotate the tool to any position since there’s no notch. I hope this helps. BTW, these tools rely on a bit of luck. Play around with how many bands you use for different locks.
@thecrappylockpicker4696
@thecrappylockpicker4696 2 года назад
I have the HUK set I found with a mod they open STD locks but not ones with variable spring tension which I come across regularly at work but all in all it’s a good set btw the mod is getting rid of those tiny bands and using a castration ring found that helps a lot
@AlbertLebel
@AlbertLebel 2 года назад
I can understand that as they rely on a balanced set of pin stacked to work good. For locks like you mentioned I would likely just SPP them

@AlbertLebel
@AlbertLebel День назад
@@user-vw9mb4tv9k I did pop an Ace tubular lock but not sure what version. If they fit they work. Just may take a bit longer. Play with tension. Don’t be afraid to remove or add a tension band.
@sulitaandrei2261
@sulitaandrei2261 3 месяца назад
Is it normal when i introduce the tool to get all the tension bars at the same level? I opend a lock so many times but in the end i can't get the combination anymore? What is the problem? Too much tension on the tension bars? I don't understand what i'm doing wrong this time. After 3 hours, no results. But many times just in a few seconds i unlocked it. Everytime i use a different "method"
@AlbertLebel
@AlbertLebel 3 месяца назад
Don’t get frustrated. It’s not you. This type of tool works on luck. It’s not exacting. What I do is use a flat surface like a hard table to make all the fingers flush with end of tool tube. But since the tool uses those bands for tension, it’s very hard if not impossible to know when or if each single finger will work correctly each time. All you can do is set it, try it, reset it and try again. Trust me, it will not work perfectly every time. But it does work. Keep practicing.
@sulitaandrei2261
@sulitaandrei2261 3 месяца назад
@@AlbertLebel So it wasn't my fault. 😮 Do you recomand me the advanced one? It is "better" than those like in this video? They look more easy and accurate
@AlbertLebel
@AlbertLebel 3 месяца назад
@@sulitaandrei2261 Yes, these are ok but Southord is better. I featured one one video 491 They cost more but you will know quality when you try them. They still require luck due to the way these tools work but your chances should be higher.
@AlbertLebel
@AlbertLebel 3 месяца назад
Also remember there are different sizes. So either buy all or get the one size marked on the tool you been using. Hope this helps. But seriously, don’t get frustrated, it’s simply how these tools work. Keep practicing but reset it each time using a hard surface.
@sulitaandrei2261
@sulitaandrei2261 3 месяца назад
I already saw the video. It's like a piece of cake for you, but practice is the key. I will buy one in the next days if is more comfortable to use and you can actually lock in like a key after you get the "code" for the lock. Thank you so much for your time to answer my question ❤

@AlbertLebel

Don’t get frustrated. Trust me. Been there done that. We tend to make it look super simple only because we been doing it for quite some time. Be patient. Play around with it. Try taking off one of the small bands or adding one. They provide tension to the fingers. Go back and forth with the handle as you push it in and soon as it’s in try turning it to rotate the core. If I can do it, you can too. I’m just a knucklehead with an addiction to locks. Just keep practicing. You will be stoked when you get it. Good luck. 🍀
